- Grace Millane was strangled by her killer in Auckland following a Tinder date. It was the 1st of December 2018 - the day before what would have been her 22nd birthday. Her murderer, Jesse Kempson - who is serving a minimum of 17 years in jail - has since been convicted of attacks on two other women. As ITV re-examine the tragic case as part of a new true crime series, we’re joined by one of the lead detectives - Scott Beard, and Kempson’s former flatmate, Millie Mason - who opens up about her experience of living with a killer.

Jamie Kaiwai, a young Maori wahine went missing around the same time as Grace. And she received no investigation, nor any media coverage. She disappeared very suspiciously with a literal blood trail. I wish our NZ media and Investigators cared about our own wahine as much as they did Grace's tragic case. Jamie kaiwai needs a proper investigation. I've always been appalled that no resources were spent to try find Jamie kaiwai
so sad :(

@sandcat66 thank you, her case is always on my mind. I don't want or mean to take anything away from Grace Milane. But she was found. Her murderer in prision. family has the closure. Documentaries upon documentaries. Yet nothing for Jamie Kaiwai. I highly recommend you watch what little is out about her , her family have fought so hard to get the investigation going. It's truly horrendous

Minimum of 17 years incarcerated sounds like a low sentence

To get murdered in such an appalling way…no, to be murdered in general is inexcusable and evil. She died on her birthday. The day she came into this world, she was taken against her will out of it. I hope he never gets out.

A young woman travelling alone should not be so trusting to go back to a mans room on the first date 2nd 3rd 4th or 5th ......this isnt a pop at grace god bless her .....there are a lot of evil disgusting manipulators in this world and this animal was one of them

If someone tells you they are so rich. Get the to pay the whole year in advance and if they stay less they get a refund on what’s left

Sorry this happened. But, I don't understand how someone can sleep with someone they just met. Don't know anything about them. Be smart. Wait til you know someone before becoming intimate. Such a terrible waste.
The parents need to forgive,this is NOT for the perpetrator, but for the family to remove them selves from the self imposed imprisonment of feelings and anger etc, that is controlling aspects of their lives, attitudes, relationships etc and how would they feel if the other person I do not care if you forgive or not? or unaware,
