I have the TH 2 freestyle and that’s the same thing I’ve been dealing with. Just changed my power level to 3 instead of 1 and gonna test it tomorrow, hopefully see a bit of difference 🙏🏼

I got the Tinyhawk 2 freestyle combo from Emax a couple months ago and it’s a fun little quad, but I’m disappointed with the distance I was getting with the goggles feed. After watching this, it looks like my VTX power range is 1-7, and it was set to 1, so I changed it to 3. Hopefully won’t ever have issues since it’s not all the way up, but I’m gonna test it tomorrow and see if it makes any difference. Either way, really thankful I learned some of this info from you!
Well… I’m back again and this worked fine the first time I did it, but now I’m seeing my vtx_power = 0 even after I’ve tried to set it to 4. Not sure why it keeps resetting back to 0. I’ve also tried unlocking the vtx by pressing and holding the button on the vtx while powering on the drone… and still not had much luck
@@Ian_MacGregor did you add the low power disarm step? If you're looking in betaflight and haven't armed the quad then it'll be the lowest setting because of that. Remove the low power disarm settings and see if the power level stuck.

I’m very newbie but my vtx is 600mw and I’m having problems with my video feed. I’m pretty sure I only need like 200 but when I type Get VTX it just says “Invalid name”
My vtx Like its no antenna..the goggles should be close to the quad to work.....does this (power setting ) affects I mean does this would be the solution

I run the same but am having an issue with the betaflight now, where if until first arm is enabled my vtx will lock itself to 25mw and never change. I have to turn the option off in betaflight to regain full power. No idea what is wrong, it's for long range so don't want it sitting there getting hot
I don't have the option "UNTIL_FIRST_ARM" for vtx_low_power_disarm in my Cinebee75, just ON or OFF. Is it Betaflight or the quad? Also, how does it help to set it to UNTIL_FIRST_ARM. Don't see how it would make a big difference as I power up, arm ang go fly within 20-30 seconds? Great video!

I have tried to change my vtx power from 1 (0-7) to 5, but after saving it is shown with 0. I did try several times and with several values but always with the same result.... The vtx low power disarm change did work on the other hand... Do you have any idea?

I think you have to also type in save afterwards

Hi! What if you change the value in the OSD tab from 25 to 200 mw? Is that the same?
If you have that all setup, then yes, it should also work.

It’s going to depend on your VTX, but yeah, more power means more range. If you are just flying around a park no need for the extra.
