    This is really just a practice amp in the small 20 watt version. It is great for that. It isn't anything I would want to gig with for sure since it has an 8" speaker.

    Wow, was looking for a practice amp, glad I went with the Peavey Vypyr VIP 1, it seems to do tube emulation much better, the high gain tones aren't fizzy and it has midrange control.

    • @cjaquilino
      @cjaquilino 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      G Two issues with the Peavey though: 1) It's ugly. 2) It's an aging platform, e.g. dated drivers/no iOS/Android hookup. It is the most featured amp in it's price range though.

    You don't seem to know how those controls operate. Every time you change presets, it changes all of the settings, including gain. Your knob might be on 5 but the preset is only set to 1. So you rolling the knob from 5 to 1 does absolutely nothing to demo the difference in gain settings. You should've done an entire sweep from 0-10 every time on every preset.

    • @anthonysavali1
      @anthonysavali1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      it only changes the one you move, i.e. if you only adjust gain it wont mess with treble/bass/etc. if you want to save the changes you've made, you can hold the save button.

    • @JC-11111
      @JC-11111 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, when you change the entire preset, as in from 90s Rock to 60s British rock. No matter what the knobs are set to, they internally get set to whatever is in that preset. It might have gain at 3 but the knob is at 10. The gain is still only at 3 until you turn the knob, then it instantly goes to whatever the knob is set to.
      Meaning if you have the knobs all turned to 10, then switch the preset to 80s British rock, the knobs aren't at 10 anymore. British rock might have bass at 3, mids at 5, treble at 7, and gain at 8. Even though the knobs are still turned to 10, your preset is at 3-5-7-8 and not dimed anymore. Anytime you select a new preset, it invalidates whatever you have the knobs physically turned to. So going from 10 to 5 only or 1 to 5 only isn't the way to show how they sound. Because you're not starting at the number on the knob. You're starting at whatever the preset is set to.
      Read the manual. I have one of these and know exactly how it works.

    • @anthonysavali1
      @anthonysavali1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      JC yeah, okaaaay buddy.. I actually did.
      Why don't you learn to read a manual correctly and also do some research on your purchases.
      Also something you probably don't know because it's not "in the manual" there is a completely "clean and empty" channel by holding "Tune" as soon as you flip on power.
      I'm using my amp right now, so kind of hard to agree with you being wrong and all.
      I'm on rock, and only moving the "gain control down" and guess what, my bass, treble, reverb, etc. has not been changed.
      Ive watched countless of videos on how to operate this amp, you're wrong.
      Do yourself a favor and download fender fuse with all the extra presets, you can find it on reddit very easily. It gives your a digital display of what your knobs are at, you can literally see nothing else being affected when you change it..
      Say you don't like how much gain there is for ANY preset, you move JUST the gain, NOTHING ELSE CHANGES unless YOU move it. Say you want to change the bass, move only the bass and guess what, NOTHING else is affected.
