I remember watching Super Mario Bros. Z way back in high school, the song "Back to Mad" by Texas Faggott was featured in an episode. I recently re-listened to it and fell down the rabbit hole that is Suomisaundi... _And I fucking love it._
Hell yeah, edgy 2000s Flash animations on Newgrounds was the shit! Welcome to the spugedelic underground, fasten your seatbelts and have a good flight! 👉🟧🍄👅
#1 "Out there in our Milky Way, there's approximately 100,000 stars within the galaxy. Think of an ordinary sand beach - if you would count all of the grains of sand there - that would result to approximately 100 billion sand grains. One of those grains would be [in comparison], our own Sun. And then again, for example [...] The Hubble space telescope can see, perhaps 100 billion other galaxies. So, that’s 100 billion times 100 billion, that’s the number 1 with 22 zeros added. That is, by estimate, all the sand beaches within our galaxy. And one of those grains is our Sun which is being orbited by our planet - a mere dust particle on that scale. [...] If you look up to a random star on the night sky, I’d be willing to place a relatively large bet on the star in question that it's being orbited by planets, and I'd be willing to place - let's say - at least a small bet that there's a planet that has some kind of primitive lifeforms on its surface. But the so-called higher forms of life on the other hand [...] Meaning, something more complex than single-cell-beings like bacteria and such [...]. That’s scarcer, and intelligence is the rarest delicacy of it all. So, then ... Life seems to exist all around us, but intelligence is a relatively rare phenomenon. I don't know for sure - maybe all this is just a pessimistic evaluation, but as long as we haven't found any other forms of intelligence anywhere out there, all of this relies on pure guesswork. One can always hope and make all sorts of guesses and wish that we aren't the most intelligent beings in this universe. [...] That would be kind of depressing - a depressing outcome really, to have a peek in the mirror in the morning, and to see a reflection of one of the most intelligent creatures in the known universe. Well, it'd make me feel that this whole, grand universe has been wasted in that case [---]. If the universe hasn't come up with anything better than something like me."
hapsutakki wow man you're awesome! Thank you so much for the translation. I knew i felt right when i heard that and even without understanding a word of it, my intuition told me it is not just blabla talking but a real beautiful intelligent story. Glad to hear it now and have the ability to connect the words as i connect to the music which is such a beautiful & inspiring universal language by itself. :) Thank you for that!
yamit ben abu The man talking in the song is Esko Valtaoja, propably the most recognized Finnish astronomer and science "popularizer". There might be a wiki article about him in English.
+hapsutakki 'You forget last couple sentence. Which is: You could always thank me, or maybe give me some kind of medal, but what i have received is bucket full of shit.

For thjose who wonder: The title means: "A hundred billion years of inner loneliness"
"A hundred billion years of loneliness inside the head" maybe more accurate translation?
( it still sounds bad translation)
*hundred thousand billion
One hundred billion years inner loneliness
No, it wouldn't.
best title
Это было ахуенно!
Kysy itse artistilta, Mulla ei ole mitään havaintoa, muuta kuin, että YLEn arkistoista luulisi löytyvän, mutta miten sen sieltä saa onkin toinen asia.
Eh. It was long and repetitive
all trance music is long and repetitive, that's why it's called trance.
