I mean, we know that we're very protective over our books because of our mentor and stuff, but why? Because we like being a mage, we like magic, we literally go through that much danger just so we could have a new mentor (even though that totally turned out well). He also said that we would be victorious but it will cost us something. And I was thinking what is important to us other than Jackal? And then I was like "we're.... mages" so the answer is probably magic. More specifically, our experience (?) in magic. Kinda like we'd be exchanging our level stats for survival or something. Sorry this was so long haha, I just thought about this and I just so happened to see this comment
18:48-19:13 I feel like this part refers to our mentor. He sent us on that journey, so we would survive but we never found out what happened to him. Was he able to hide? Did he get caught? We dont know but we continued our journey in a direction he didn't send us to, and that will come back at us.

She is a half-elf sorceress with a speciality in necromancy, all reasons for her to be shunned from "polite society" but it's the half-elf one she gets the most grief for. Or that's what came to mind when I was creating her.
