Read my nightmare with RR before buying one. New 2020 RR PHEV I bought 3 months ago from Official dealer in USA had orange engine light turned on when I came back home, still turned on after 3 times back to dealer service with changing different parts. Now has been at service 4th time for last month and they said that all this model cars in the world will be recalled for new hybride software that will be ready at the end of September 2020. 3 months after buying a new very expensive car, still stuck to service. Dealer said that JLR refused replacement because any car they replace will need the same software update all p400e models in the world will be recalled. JLR used my car as a lab to find a common defect but still not replaced or refunded. Want to go to lemon court.

Hi Steve, thank you! Steve, it depends how and where you drive. If you drive a lot in town, then the P400 is a good alternative. The hybrid system works well in the congested city with low speeds. But it town is not where you drive and if you have a heavy right foot, then I would go for the 3L V6 HST, no doubt about it

Ciao Anna, to me the plug in front of the bonnet is in a wrong place! if you crash the car you can't recharge the car , that's why other carmaker put it in a side like for the petrol one.

Think it looks big and bulky, then with such a large overhang behind the rear wheels. Then I think you would feel more like a queen in a Rolls Royce Cullinen.
I love it when you use English phrases like 'throwing a wobbly'. It’s so endearing. You hit the nail on the head when you spoke of the EU and their inability to understand the realities of driving. No, we can’t all simply ditch our beloved internal combustion engines and go electric - the real world won’t let us. I’m so glad we in the U.K. will be out of the E.U. very soon now. Andrea ...hassle? No, not really! Far better a little 'hassle' than being ruled and told what we can and can’t do by politicians we can’t vote out if we don’t like them. Better to make our own laws and make our own future - not be governed by Brussels and Strasbourg. If it’s good for you...fine...but we are British and can and always will make our own way in the world.
Andrea I see your point and yes, I sympathise, but surely some inconvenience will be worth it if it means we can take back control of our destiny, bring back some meaningful border controls and decide for ourselves who we make overseas trade deals with. We've had to abide by rules whether we agreed with them or not, simply because a bunch of other countries said we should. If we make mistakes from now on it’ll be our fault and we can learn from them. Let’s think positive!

Thank you Gordon, this one is my favourite next to the RX. They somehow managed to make these cars a pleasure to drive, whether you have a full battery or not. It all comes down to one's lifestyle if you have the facility to charge, then probably the RR, but on a long-distance journey like this one, Lexus would have been a lot cheaper.

I think in your latest Volvo hybrid review you really disliked the 2.0 litre engine solution suggesting that a luxurious car should have something rather more meaty... And yet here the 2.0 in a Range Rover seems more than good enough😳
Robert, the S90 attempts to compete with the likes of BMW 7 series, Mercedes-Benz S Class, but sadly, it fails miserably in many categories. One being simply the lack of solid and salubrious acceleration in the upmarket limousine segment. Second being the ridiculous fuel consumption. This RR is bigger and heavier, yet it uses a lot less petrol and has a greater range in comparison to the S90. I stand by my words, but I have not suggested that every car needs a bigger engine in order to be luxurious. This RR is very luxurious with a 2L engine. There are many aspects that come into place, engine displacement is one of them but then the way the car is being engineered and built another.

Hey Anna, the Range is great. But I can not find my pleasure to a 2.0 Liter 4 Cylinder with E - Push in a royal Range Clipper. To me this is V8 5.0 to enjoy in a Range. Ok, in matter of CO2 and Pollution and the green thinking thoughts it might be owe to todays thoughts an idea. But I suggest 2 Liter should be at least 2.5Liter engine, because of louder noice in extrem pushing the pedals to maximum. The electric ⚡️ range 25 to 30 km is not interesting to carry heavy batteries 🔋 around I suggest. But for sure you look so great and perfect in this car. Charming as always. Perfect 👌 report on the royal clipper. But €150K is a royal word! Puuh...thats Range. Just noticed, they promote it with 2.8Liters/100km. No way, 9-10 Liters is true. I totally agree about European countries should get there act together and sort out more charging points and make a standard socked that all cars companies have to use so it would make it easy for customers to find and charge their vehicles as like you said EU want us to be buying these type of cars. Hi, I was actually on the adriatic coast when this video was taken, only saw it now. My opinion is that if you are going to buy an SUV for driving long distances on highways, get a diesel. If you are traveling within the city, get a smaller EV like the Zoe and download the plugshare app to find good chargers. Parking this car on narrow streets is bound to be a nightmare.
As always, love your real world review Anna. Indeed a car to make you feel regal in a way no other in this class will do. Still have my doubts about hybrid, however, but rather this than full electric. So much hassle with charging, limited distance, etc, etc. Amazing car nonetheless. And excellent review
May i ask is this a plug in? Why they dont build normal hybrid cars? With this advanced technology it should be possible to build that! I hate it chatge my car this way. It have to happen during driving! And your dresses are short, very short but Baby, i love how you dress up!
Andrea There’s a logical reason for it. All across Europe ultra low emissions zones are either in planning or a reality. Combustion engined vehicles won’t soon be able to enter or will be subject to a large fee. As most urban journeys are short the electric range is fine.
@@dimmacommunication In the UK it's not fantasy actually. PHEVs are becoming more common arising from 3 main things. City emission zones (or the threat thereof) Negative perceptions around diesel. Tax breaks. Interestingly, there was a survey done recently on various PHEVS, returned at end of lease. Most had never had the battery charged. The only conclusion you can draw then, is that the company car tax breaks was the primary motivator to select a PHEV. Like diesel DPFs they're a bit of a con anyhow.

I totally agree about European countries should get there act together and sort out more charging points and make a standard socked that all cars companies have to use so it would make it easy for customers to find and charge their vehicles as like you said EU want us to be buying these type of cars. Hi, I was actually on the adriatic coast when this video was taken, only saw it now. My opinion is that if you are going to buy an SUV for driving long distances on highways, get a diesel. If you are traveling within the city, get a smaller EV like the Zoe and download the plugshare app to find good chargers. Parking this car on narrow streets is bound to be a nightmare.
As always, love your real world review Anna. Indeed a car to make you feel regal in a way no other in this class will do. Still have my doubts about hybrid, however, but rather this than full electric. So much hassle with charging, limited distance, etc, etc. Amazing car nonetheless. And excellent review

You are probably the only review being honest about the electric range.
36 km range is a shame , better not have it at all.
Andrea There’s a logical reason for it. All across Europe ultra low emissions zones are either in planning or a reality. Combustion engined vehicles won’t soon be able to enter or will be subject to a large fee. As most urban journeys are short the electric range is fine.
@@hughmarcus1 Yeah but there's no proof if a person is running electric or engine, therefore this is pure fantasy.
@@dimmacommunication In the UK it's not fantasy actually. PHEVs are becoming more common arising from 3 main things. City emission zones (or the threat thereof) Negative perceptions around diesel. Tax breaks. Interestingly, there was a survey done recently on various PHEVS, returned at end of lease. Most had never had the battery charged. The only conclusion you can draw then, is that the company car tax breaks was the primary motivator to select a PHEV. Like diesel DPFs they're a bit of a con anyhow.
