Healer since day 4 of vanilla and all I've learned about playing Wack-A-Mole with the Healthbars is : - If the Tank dies, it's the healer's fault - If the Healer dies, it's the tank's fault - If a DPS died.... well it's their own damned fault

They didn't forget bears. They nerfed us twice, killed our god, then tossed us a minor ironfur buff like it was a handful of change on a shitty motel dresser when they were done fucking us in the ass.
My second favourite tank was bear but guess what? According to blizz nobody likes watching a bear as his char 😁 i already have a solution. They could make bears look like Volibear from LoL and the gear changing on em based on what you wear and ur race but let me tell you smth my friend. If everyone forgets the bears (as blizz plans) blizz will have noth to do about them as they plan. 😄
I love that you're videos are one of the few videos targeted at new players, it attracts fresh blood to a great game which at times can feel like its decaying and the WOW community loves what you're doing because we can all reminisce to our first days after pressing "create" on our character, adventuring through Azeroth, even flying for the first time. That's why we all enjoy seeing this; it reignites those initial feelings of joining wow and picking your class for the first time.

I truly hate healing blood dk's. Suddenly it seems like they are on the verge of dying, you pop your CD's then they freaking self heal the very same second.. 10 sec later they die cuz the tank nor healer has any cooldowns left. Oh, and they are squishy af
Aggro and defensives are the easy part of tanking. Being expected to know shortcuts and best strategies unrealistically quickly is the stressful parts. Was happy to see you cover that.
As has been stated so many times before: Unless youre in the top 5% of the progress what you pick doesnt really matter that much play what you like to play and what you find fun. There are some maths to crank out yet but that is the general theme, but do note that if youre planning on pugging most of the content in SL, there will be classes/speccs that people want *Cries in shaman*
often not the case. if your class/specc is bad or just not useful for something you wont find groups. most people only take meta stuff with them even in m+ dungeons.
@@TheHiddenRoar I feel like that's because a lot of people are ranking slaves. In higher mythics it certainly matters, but if i am not mistaken the difference in gear from M15 vs M8 isn't that big, at that point it is about your skill. Most people probably won't go super deep into the insane levels of mythic +, every class is capable of finishing mythics just fine. Also, I feel like if people complain that they couldn't do/get into X or Y because of their class are 99% of the time wrong. You didn't get in/couldn't do it because you lacked the skill, most guilds are not cutting edge. That said, since now everyone plays WoW like a massive spreadsheet instead of for fun, everyone and their dog has become a ranking slave
I will stop healing you, I ain't got mana for that. I will res you when we're done but from now on healing you rates only above dealing damage, and that's flexible.
TL;DR: Mage main, priest, DK, rogue alts for covenants, hunter and druid to cover remaining professions. Wall of text incoming, much thought has gone into my selection, and it's years in the making. I'm swapping to mage main and have my alts selected, already, based on the utility they bring and professions that mesh well with them. I'll be keeping this list moving forward since it is highly unlikely that Blizz can take away the things about these classes that I love without people rioting. I also enjoy all of the specs that the classes bring, with the exception of druid. Mage main, Priest, DK, Rogue, Hunter, Druid. I have every generic archetype covered. (Wizard/Cleric/Fighter/Rogue/Ranger/Druid - I know plenty of games have a monk, warlock, and warrior, but for me, DK is a warrior with a better theme and magic). Each of these classes bring something unique to them. Mage - Alchemy/Inscription. Portals, food, cc and high single target and aoe damage. I'm also tired of convincing myself over the years that I can't main a triple dps class because I just HAVE to have a tank/heal offspec. I'm tired of rolling classes that don't fit me best just to be a hybrid. If I had to choose one type of class that I ALWAYS enjoy, it's a wizard type class. And mages are always at least good in both pvp and pve, and great for achievements and faction reputations. The only thing they don't have that I would love to have is some kind of heal and reusable stealth. But with everything else they have going for them, I can take not having those two things. Priest - Tailoring/Enchanting. Priest is the only multi-healer class, and I love the new Shadow spec. They're not always the best in mythic+, but I feel like they do plenty well enough for +15s, and have the only dps-healer hybrid spec. They're always good enough in PvP and have great synergies with other classes. I love the trinity of alignments with the specs, with shadow being dark, holy being light, and discipline being a middle ground of the two. DK - Blacksmithing/Goblin Engineering. This is my warrior replacement. (I have a soft spot for warriors, because fury is cool, and arms feels so calculating, I just wish I enjoyed prot more. Feels like it folds over if you don't have shield block up, and they seem to just keep nerfing warrior talents and synergies going into SL. Sad shame.) Anyway, DKs are great because they have grip, blood magic, and fun dps specs. They feel rewarding to tank on since you have to be able to sustain yourself, to an extent, rather than just depending on your healers. Rogue - Jewelcrafting/Gnomish Engineering - Rogue is always great in dungeons and pvp, and they have so much utility and defensives that you start to miss it on classes that don't have them. Stealth is awesome and will never not feel awesome to use. Those first four are the classes I'll focus on, each with a different covenant. Then I have Hunter (Leatherworking/Skinning), who is great for feeling like a swiss army knife. They can do everything in the game at least decently well, and are simple enough to play if you just want to turn your mind off, but also have a high ceiling with all the pet utility. And almost nothing feels like it slaps quite as hard as a nice Aimed Shot crit (except maybe a warlock chaos bolt). Druid (Herbalism/Mining) is..... a class I want to love. I feel like if it had a spec that was more about nature magic specifically, I would love it. I miss hurricane and insect swarm. However, despite me not really enjoying how blizzard treats everything besides resto druid, they have a lot of mobility, stealth, and utility. They make great material farmers, so I always have one, now, to farm up for my other professions. It's sad, because they can feel so rewarding, but I hate the nagging feeling I get that I'm not as efficient as other classes could be (outside of material farming and world quests, at least). Want to pew pew from range? Mage/warlock/hunter/priest all feel better than balance to me. I love the theme of feral, but it feels like a bargain bin rogue, and much more involved to play well, in my opinion. I also hate that you have to spec for aoe or single target, a lot of the time. Want to tank? Guardian feels like a warrior, sort of, but is just so boring to play. I have the werebear (and star kitty) mage tower skins on my druid, but short of him looking badass in bear form or cat form, I just can't get into either melee spec. Restoration is fine. I like the nature theme. It's just... not as interesting to play, as far as healers go, for me. Unless you're talking about cat-weaving, that is one thing I do enjoy about resto. As for Demon Hunter, Shaman, Paladin, Monk, Warlock. DH is too simple to dps with, and honestly, the rotation is fast and repetitive enough that my hands cramp more than on other classes (thanks, sport injuries giving me arthritis lol). Shaman I want to love, but Blizz can never decide what they want to do with them, and I just don't enjoy enhancement and elemental enough to warrant playing a shaman seriously (though chain heal, healing rain, chain lightning, and earthquake are all so fun to use). Paladin I want to love, but tanking feels kind of plain, and I do NOT like holy power for Holy spec. Monk is another I want to love, but windwalker seems to have a love/hate relationship with Blizz, as well, and Mistweaver, while strong, seems to get nerfed pretty often. Warlock is a great class, and fun to play with all of the survivability and cackling maniacally as you fear people away and either curse them, knock em with a chaos bolt, or summon flurries of demons at people, but I feel that they have the most niche utility of the triple dps classes (though it is great, just more niche). I will have the others, but they won't see as much play time. My first 6 are who I focus on to keep their professions up to date, and, like I mentioned, I love all the utility they bring in addition to being capable in their respective roles.
I made my first shaman after playing mage/paladin/warriors for years. Very fun and so much utility, might not be the best DPS or what not but at my age now its more about enjoying my game and making the characters look good rather than top position on charts.
Can I just say, I adore the way he intro's 'Hey folks, this is Kelani'. His unique voice and way of saying this let's me know I'm going to trust the incoming information and I enjoy his voice and content. Thanks Kelani!
As with every expansion since vanilla, I’ve always levelled my Paladin first, for lore and role reasons. I love the 2H and sword and board wielding, plate wearing style. Ret for levelling, and chilling end game. Then I can tank if I get bored or we lack one for easier content. Finally, I can heal if I’m struggling to get into a raid group as a DPS. My first alts are usually again those that can perform more than one role. Eventually I’ll probably have all my alts levelled up. I’ve got every class in BfA at 120.
A dead melee spec that doesn’t rate a mention. Every other melee class and spec does what MSV can but ten times better. The idea of a melee Hunter should have died with the dead zone being removed from Hunters.
@@Ursa_Major_League It still exists nonetheless, and just because they failed on making it a good spec doesn't mean it is a bad idea. I know there are many haters on melee hunter out there, just because they got used to having 3 ranged specs on the same class, but in truth Surv was meant to be melee since the inception of the game, that's why old Surv had some melee abilities, they simply scraped the concept half way through it and just made it ranged. It appears that in Legion they decided to go back to the original idea. It was strong, until it was nerfed and now it's bad, doesn't mean it can't be good eventually if they have make decent changes to it.
Almeyda In all its iterations as melee it has been poorly implemented, I will admit my bias against MSV as I was a long time Ranged SV main. I have been playing since early BC and still remember the class icon for hunter being a bow which to me represents a ranged class and one of the main reasons I chose the class. My biggest complaint is the rift adding MSV caused in the Hunter community as I can’t remember any other class in the history of the game having an entire spec deleted. Anyways I did not intend to come off as flippant or dismissive I just personally can’t stand losing my favorite spec in favor of another that is under represented and poorly realized. Also still a bit salty that a solution has not been implemented to satisfy both the MSV and RSV crowd going into the third expansion since the change. Cheers 🍻
So I have recently started WoW and made the following classes: Warlock, Mage on the Horde side and Warrior, Paladin and Druid on the Alliance side. I'm just playing Warlock for the time being but I will play the others in due course. For WoW itself, I so adore the ps1-like retro feel. It looks so ancient, but the music an cinematics are amazing and the keyboard and mouse play are pretty much OK, I do have GW2, so that is similar in terms of gameplay. So yeah, first impressions are good and I am enjoying the experience. For clarity though, I started as Warlock because I took a FF14 stance where many WoW refugees did the same when they arrived at Eorzea's gates(if you will). I started FF14 as a Summoner back in 2013, and now I take the same path in WoW, I still play FF14, but needed to try something new! Anyway, loving WoW, this a fresh experience for me and look forward to progressing!]:3
I decided I am gonna keep playing with my monk. Playing with a monk is extremely fun, I love every specialization. I can't wait for the incoming changes. :)
I've played monk long enough to ask, "what incoming changes?" Pretty sure that minor tweak or two you got after the blue post is all ya gonna get besides maybe a few more bug fixes.

Highly recommend this video been playing for a while and couldnt decide between a priest, hunter or warlock alt and this video helped me realized I love healing too much lmao
i'm always a firm believer that if you are wanting something that performs well, then pick something you enjoy. If you are having fun with the class you will always be willing to do the work needed to get better and perform well
*Main:* Rogue (for the first time ever. I am just starting to enjoy the amount of utility the rogue brings to any situation, as well as the burst & defensives) *1st alt:* Ret and Holy Paladin (my previous main since TBC, which is sad because it's my all time fave class fantasy, especially Retribution!) *2nd alt:* Hunter (I will try all specs, but enjoy SV because it can attack from ranged AND melee) *3rd alt:* ALL Priest specs, (because it is the only class I have never played before, and Shadow is looking very promising, as is Holy, and Disc for PVP healing). This gives me a class in each Covenant, which I am really going to enjoy playing through.
Pretty sure 3 out of 4 of those classes best covenant is Kyrian. Paladin is Kyrian, Priest is Kyrian and Hunter is Kyrian. Honestly I thought the same... I thought I could have 4 classes 1 for each covenant... how wrong I was.
@@littlemai5286 Yes, unfortunately I didn't even bother levelling up 4 characters due to how anti-alt Shadowlands turned out. I'm not spending hours each week doing chores like Torghast etc. Doing all this boring crap on one is enough for me.
Always pick a class that is exciting for YOU. Don’t pick the flavor of the month, you will never be happy. You will perform better if you love spending time on your character.
I never found playing the best spec and getting #1 fulfilling because your class is doing the work, not the player. I prefer playing underrated specs. I played boomkin for years. I am looking into Ret for shadowlands
In regards to tanking, the best description I've heard are tanks are like referees. You either hate them or dont realize they're there. It's a thankless job but someone has got to do it
Started in late WoD couple weeks before Legion prepatch as 2H frost DK. Loved how it felt personally, then legion happened and was forced into dual wield so went to Arms warrior. So kinda hyped to play 2H Frost again, beefy 2H swords do it best imo.
I feel like the oddball, I have every class leveled to 120 but my main for every xpac is still my first toon ever, my warlock. Always has been, always will be lol
Thanks a lot for your great work! Is it possible to create a video with your graphical settings? Interested in how you get that smooth and nice graphic.
Here's my problem... I love playing Healer, DPS, and tank (in that order). It's great because the game doesn't get stale when I do that and dungeon queues are near-instant. The downside is, having to gear up for all 3 and your focus can get disrupted. That's why I like pure DPS classes because you only ever have to worry about one thing and one thing only. The only downside is long ass dungeon queues.
This is an excellent summary of the roles for those who are new, well done. As for me, I don't change classes. I adore my Druid, its utility, and its aesthetic. I do however rotate specs as often as I change my clothes. Healer, Ranged DPS, Melee DPS, Tank... what's not to love.
I'm really torn at the moment between my go to hunter always level her first. Shaman which I have always enjoyed as a healer but not so much the dps side of them and the destro warlock. Having a hard time chosing this expansion.
Affliction lock was my main in vanilla through cat. I came back to bfa to discover they made some screwed up changes, but I must say, lock in PTR feels like a proper lock with some welcomed changes for burst
I love how this video is mostly focused for beginners but even if you’re a worn player of wow, you get to watch it and feel comfortable :3 thanks Kelani for the amazing content. Catch you later on stream.
Come on, BM Hunter is clearly the easiest by far as it is the only instant range dps with a really simple rotation. Way less cleave / aoe to avoid compared to a melee dps and even if they it has too, all its spells are instant casts. DH second by far though. Rest of the class are quite at the same level with couple of them being quite hard to play.
I'd love to see "Class details in case you are new to this game" or something, SOME of us are struggling to pick a main in less than a month and you click-baited me 🤣🤣
Don't play the class, but just curious...how is survival hunter in SL? I thought the idea of being in the fray with you pet was cool, but it seems like nobody plays it. So I'm wondering how its looking if anyone has a moment to give their thoughts.
How to pick a main in SL: pick a class - repick another class after 1 month class tuning- repick another class after 2 month class tuning- keep doing the same due to Blizzard's incapacity of balancing classes- get frustrated- stop playing wow.
Typically that tuning doesn’t change the playstyle, only the damage output. If you are only playing for the damage you are gonna run into that problem no matter what
Pretty hard to balance what is it now 10 classes? with multiple talent combos, gear sets, dps specs, etc. People act like it is a simple job, if we were to listen to everyone then each class would just get their OP stuff, then people will complain that their OP class design isn't OP enough
Don't play flavor of the month. Play what you like. If you only play for the best numbers, trust me, you'll play better at a bad class that you're experienced at than you would at a good class that you're inexperienced at.
@@Syngrafer Ye mate i get you but once a class is taken down to the ground at one point u'll get tired of not taking part to the game because no one will want you with that class. Take for consideration as i said MM hunter : i stood days and days in m+ queues with a 478 ilvl and 2.4 k rio MM hunt and no one wanted a mm hunter in a 15 + .Or i tried to find decent arena partners to push , each time a heal saw me as MM they simply leave. Did i like the class? hell yes ! Did i enjoy not being able to play anything? hell no ! so i switched , simple ! In the end the game will force you somehow to play something better than the class you love wich sucks the most.
There is an exception to the "dead dps does no dps" quote. It's called an Affliction Warlock talented into Absolute Corruption, granted it's not a ton of dps, but it is still damage that is being dealt even if you are dead lol.
@James Gang If the Tank tries to pace the dungeon faster than the healer, he WILL run out of mitigation and recovery, and a wipe will ensue. The better the tank, the faster the healer can go, but the healer is still the one dictating the pace.
sure buddy.. and if the tank is only comfortable pulling 1 pack at the time, then what? who is setting the pace then? tank plans the pulls, decides how fast and how much he wants to pull at the time. By your logic then its dps that is ACTUALLY pacing cause they dictate how fast shit die.
Dungeon builds for druids are excellent single target hps pumping machines, amazing on fights with massive tank dmg like Vex in nyalotha. Druids just have to decide between raid healing and small group/single target healing prior to the fight and use the appropriate gear set and talents. (does require two sets of gear) its almost like a fifth spec.
Or be like most people and scream at them for dying for "getting to close" even they can only heal when they are close or scream at them for not healing you because you told them to get back while you charged into half the enemy team making it impossible for the healer heals to sustain you while getting shot at my 3 different people and if they healer had gone in too they would have died as well, leaving the rest of the team healerless.
Gonna main my DK (Frost/Blood). My first alt will probably be my lock. Then Druid if I feel like healing. I boosted my Paladin but got bored with it; will need to see how I like it in SL. Demon Hunter is my other max level toon so he would be my last alt. I am not going to shy away though from leveling a toon from scratch. This expansion seems like a great time to enjoy the ENTIRETY of the game again.
My ideas: 1: With M+ Queues; I want the option to tank or heal. This throws out Hunter; Mage; Rouge and Warlock instantly as a main. [Although Mage is a likly alt #2; Arcane was my main in Legion but I hated the BFA changes; and Shadowlands Arcane seems halfway between the two.] 2: I mained Warrior in BFA [And this was mostly because I spent ~3/4 of BFA leveling characters to try and find a new main to replace Arcane, and eventually went with the one I disliked the least; Arms Warrior]. I want a new main. So no Warrior 3: I want to be able to DPS too; and I never liked Shadow Preist in any way; shape or form; so Priest is out. This leaves DK; Druid; DH; Shaman; Monk and Paladin Paladin is my Alliance alt and shall remain such. I don't intend on making a whole new Horde Pally for a main so Paladin is out but almost certainly Alt #1. Bear bores me to death. Druid is out. DH only has 2 specs and that really hurts them in my opinion. If I don't like Havoc I don't have much of a fallback. I've never much liked DK, although I've also never really given it too much of a try out. In reality; it's between Shaman and Monk. I have a Monk and Shaman both ~Lv70; which wile I enjoyed playing Enhancement/Windwalker; I never got through the leveling slog with them, or really ever tried their other specs. Since I know [barring massive changes to Enhancement/Windwalker; which I haven't heard of] that I like at least the melee DPS specs for these classes, it means I have a fallback if I don't like Brewmaster/Mistweaver/Restoration. Also; these specs offer 3 different playstyles. If I main Shaman I can RDPS MDPS and Heal; and Monk can Tank; Heal and MDPS. I'm going to level both up during prepatch and see which I like better to main in Shadowlands.
I've only been playing for 2.5 years and I've always played with my gf, never on my own, but in Shadowlands, I'm hoping to finally branch out and play on my own. I want to try druid out.
have been a mage for years but now mained a BM hunter and it's so much fun. no stress. always good dps, always the pick to counter mechanics in a fight. you can't go wrong. it's what I'll main in SL. an keep my mage and shaman updated aswell
Tauren Resto Druid for me , with my warrior, mage and possibly shaman as alts. I just love the big beefy boys and resto druids, always been my favorite combo!
Part of being a good dps is understanding when you should move out of the fire. Sometimes the fire isn’t that threatening and it’s better to stand in it until you finish your cast. Just blanket saying don’t stand in fire is a very normal or heroic mode train of thought.

The concept of picking a main for each expansion fascinates me. I've played a mage since Burning Crusade with an exception during MoP and my main will continue to be my Mage.
Ever since I became Alliance in Legion, I’ve been sticking to my Fury Warrior. I love it to bits~ But it is interesting to try and see who my secondary will be. Atm it’s my Feral Druid. I just maxed a DH and am leveling up a VE Spriest/Disc. I’m relatively new to healing so it’s hard rn to play disc, but my character isn’t really ‘holy’, thematically (VE).
The hardest role to fill is TopDPS, especially the ones with a lot of utility. There, I said it. Mistakes get punished way harder for DPS than for other roles. I am saying that as a Healer btw.
My question is - for Shadowlands - if you want to be able to do a bit of everything as a tank, healer and dps, will it be more optimal to have an alt in each covenant rather than going for a single hybrid class in just the 1 covenant? I had my heart set on playing a druid so i could switch between tanking and healing as needed, but am suddenly feeling this isn't a good idea. Anybody have any thoughts on this?
Definitely gonna be a Vulpera shaman. Shaman is my favorite class anyhow, especially ele and resto specs. Though thinking about a warrior or paladin now for tanking, then again I also like monk for tanking. Might finally try a druid though, after 12 years of playing.
Donald Hoffman what keys do you do? +10? Healers have to do everything the dps has to do aswell as keeping everyone alive... same for raiding. A good healer deals damage as well as healing and ccing. If you just stand there and spam heals you are a bad healer.
Who is this video aimed for ???? This is like literally the most basic introduction to the rules that has nothing to do with Shadowlands I’ve ever seen
My advice is pick a theme and go from there, even before you pick your role. Because the sad thing is you can't throw a shield like Captain America and expect to be DPS. Shields are for tanks only. Theme is also more important than meta as what will be the best class for 1 patch won't be in the next one, cause the best classes always get nerfed.
Stuck between a warrior and shaman. Warriors feel great when it comes to fury and I enjoyed tanking with my limited experience in it. Got a long history with shamans in terms of DPS and healing. Healing also comes more naturally to me I'd figure.
To all of you complaining about him leaving out some specs. This video is made for completely new players. I don't think it hurts anyone if he leaves out a few. The only thing that matters is for new players to get a feeling of what they are into and then check it out further...
OMG ...definitely on the fence about my main. I have 3 rdps (spriest, lock and mage) lined up and ready at lvl 50. I'm also really enjoying leveling up my rogue atm.
I'm torn between paladin (ret and holy, possibly prot if I have to) and priest (all specs). I'm really unsure at the moment. I have always gone back to paladin every expansion at some point, and was a paladin main from vanilla launch until MoP.

Healer since day 4 of vanilla and all I've learned about playing Wack-A-Mole with the Healthbars is :

- If the Healer dies, it's the tank's fault
- If a DPS died.... well it's their own damned fault
And yet both tanks and dps can't help them selves from standing in one way Jesus circles
All i remember its always the healers fault.

@@Vablonx And now you don't mention the restoration spec, come on, no love for us resto druids!
You sound like you need more time outside
WatchMarley lol you talking about yourself there bud ?
Ret looks bad in SL I don't like all the extra crap we're getting. Things were pruned for a reason.
Same with me! My paladin is always first. My wheelchair is ready.
How is the copium going on playing ret?
You left out nearly every Druid spec and the fact they cover all 4 specs in the game...
He also kept talking about Hunter being a ranged DPS, while it also has a melee spec.

Aren't dungeon queues in World of Warcraft like 30 minutes for DPS
I find that I actually like watching videos about Warcraft far more than I like actually playing Warcraft.
Seems legit.
Honestly i am thinking of maining a druid as they can do pretty much everything. Druids are a very nice toolbox class.
Some people like it, some don't. I don't like these hybrid classes much - jack of all trades, master of none.
Go to sleep one day with the classes in your head, the first one you think of in the morning is your class.

Kelani: Easiest dps to play, Hunter.
Demon hunter player: Am I a joke to you ?
Yes you are
Come on, BM Hunter is clearly the easiest by far as it is the only instant range dps with a really simple rotation. Way less cleave / aoe to avoid compared to a melee dps and even if they it has too, all its spells are instant casts. DH second by far though. Rest of the class are quite at the same level with couple of them being quite hard to play.
Demon hunters were always a joke...

Great video 🤘🏻 but I still don't know what to level
Q: how do you pick a main
A: cleverly
If you only play for the best numbers, trust me, you'll play better at a bad class that you're experienced at than you would at a good class that you're inexperienced at.
... then come back just before the next expansion to see what is new!

There is an exception to the "dead dps does no dps" quote. It's called an Affliction Warlock talented into Absolute Corruption, granted it's not a ton of dps, but it is still damage that is being dealt even if you are dead lol.
In a 5 man dungeon, it is not the tank but the healer that sets the pace.
Okay buddy
@James Gang If the Tank tries to pace the dungeon faster than the healer, he WILL run out of mitigation and recovery, and a wipe will ensue. The better the tank, the faster the healer can go, but the healer is still the one dictating the pace.
No it’s the tank
@@ZerokaoX Well you deffo never played as a healer.
sure buddy.. and if the tank is only comfortable pulling 1 pack at the time, then what? who is setting the pace then? tank plans the pulls, decides how fast and how much he wants to pull at the time. By your logic then its dps that is ACTUALLY pacing cause they dictate how fast shit die.
can you go to the maw in the PTR and test 50-60 lvl stuff and max lvl things too
Kelani: Range Dps Rotation feels slow.
Me: Laughs in spamed Cobra Shots.
Dungeon builds for druids are excellent single target hps pumping machines, amazing on fights with massive tank dmg like Vex in nyalotha. Druids just have to decide between raid healing and small group/single target healing prior to the fight and use the appropriate gear set and talents. (does require two sets of gear)
its almost like a fifth spec.
always respect the healers and tanks
Bears tanks!?
Druids look so bad right now why even mention feral or guardian.
Cries while picking new main
If you're not playing Restoration, you're not playing Druid! Or something like that.
My ideas:
1: With M+ Queues; I want the option to tank or heal. This throws out Hunter; Mage; Rouge and Warlock instantly as a main. [Although Mage is a likly alt #2; Arcane was my main in Legion but I hated the BFA changes; and Shadowlands Arcane seems halfway between the two.]
2: I mained Warrior in BFA [And this was mostly because I spent ~3/4 of BFA leveling characters to try and find a new main to replace Arcane, and eventually went with the one I disliked the least; Arms Warrior]. I want a new main. So no Warrior
3: I want to be able to DPS too; and I never liked Shadow Preist in any way; shape or form; so Priest is out.
This leaves DK; Druid; DH; Shaman; Monk and Paladin
Paladin is my Alliance alt and shall remain such.
I've got 15 alts, I'm ready to play
God speed you mad bastard.
Tauren Resto Druid for me , with my warrior, mage and possibly shaman as alts. I just love the big beefy boys and resto druids, always been my favorite combo!
This is kind of an introduction to wow in general not really shadowlands
Part of being a good dps is understanding when you should move out of the fire. Sometimes the fire isn’t that threatening and it’s better to stand in it until you finish your cast. Just blanket saying don’t stand in fire is a very normal or heroic mode train of thought.

The concept of picking a main for each expansion fascinates me. I've played a mage since Burning Crusade with an exception during MoP and my main will continue to be my Mage.
I was waiting for an Asmongold insert when you started talking about warriors ^_^
Lmaoooo i thought the thumbnail said "How to pick a man" but was so confused what it had to do with some guy in armor
lol
What swords did your demon hunter have on at the beginning of the video ???
The hardest role to fill is TopDPS, especially the ones with a lot of utility. There, I said it. Mistakes get punished way harder for DPS than for other roles. I am saying that as a Healer btw.
Yeah Okay...
This is not very specific to Shadowlands and the changes coming which is disappointing. Should be titled 'for newbies'.
Definitely gonna be a Vulpera shaman. Shaman is my favorite class anyhow, especially ele and resto specs. Though thinking about a warrior or paladin now for tanking, then again I also like monk for tanking. Might finally try a druid though, after 12 years of playing.
i still play my DH for sure :D
Nice! Im going with the same choices this time as you! Again. I mained hunter in Legion, and DH in BFA. Coincidence? Maybe.
"Healer is the hardest role" lol, I have met 4k healers that have no idea how to play the game
Literally just click 3 buttons and sit still while all the dps are running around like maniacs doing multiple roles every boss lol
@@Donaldl121 go try it we see how ez it es
Well yes and no.
Healing is 90% boring and 10% panic. Still true.
Donald Hoffman what keys do you do? +10? Healers have to do everything the dps has to do aswell as keeping everyone alive... same for raiding. A good healer deals damage as well as healing and ccing. If you just stand there and spam heals you are a bad healer.
Do you think warlocks will be viable in m+ pushing groups based on how they seem right now?
Who is this video aimed for ???? This is like literally the most basic introduction to the rules that has nothing to do with Shadowlands I’ve ever seen
First 6 min is a reality check for the average dps
It's for deciding on a main before an expansion launch, not specifically Shadowlands.
I've mained a Druid since TBC, this expansion I was planning on switching it up... Ardenweald took that plan and chucked it in the bin!
What is the difference between eu/na severs in term of gameplay experience
Stuck between a warrior and shaman. Warriors feel great when it comes to fury and I enjoyed tanking with my limited experience in it. Got a long history with shamans in terms of DPS and healing. Healing also comes more naturally to me I'd figure.
To all of you complaining about him leaving out some specs. This video is made for completely new players. I don't think it hurts anyone if he leaves out a few. The only thing that matters is for new players to get a feeling of what they are into and then check it out further...
What about Druids?
*druid tanks*
Apparently Kelani is only aware of Restoration Druids.
Whats that DH Transmog? Does somebody know that? Looks awesome
I dunno if ill get an answer but what weapon is that at the begining? the rapier sword? Is it new from shadowlands
OMG ...definitely on the fence about my main. I have 3 rdps (spriest, lock and mage) lined up and ready at lvl 50. I'm also really enjoying leveling up my rogue atm.
I just thrive on healing - it has the most risk!!! Correcting other people’s slight or big mistakes!! I love it.
Wanted to keep on my Resto Shaman but... well... I think I’ll do ret paly, Affli Warlock and Feral Dudu. Can’t wait for Shadowlands to release
I'm torn between paladin (ret and holy, possibly prot if I have to) and priest (all specs). I'm really unsure at the moment. I have always gone back to paladin every expansion at some point, and was a paladin main from vanilla launch until MoP.
Im not sure what to play i want to push for High M+ and Mythic ProgressRaiding, In mind i have Druid Heal Mainspecc Boomer 2nd, or MW Monk with WW 2nd
