Unfortunately talent doesn't win the talent show. You have tomake the people love you. It's just an emotional game. Westerners are incredibly irrational and vote on how they feel about their fantasized connection with the group, not the talent of the group
don't worry dog. Most of the winners are flops anyways, but this girls seem like they're meant for something bigger. They have been seen so its a matter of time for them to do good.

Avantgardey is winning big since AGT. They appeared in many events and commercials. Collaborated with Yoasobi in the NHK TV's Kōhaku Uta Gassen in New Year's Eve. Got invited to Taiwan for Chinese New Year's Eve pre-recorded celebration and soon to Hong Kong for CNY live celebration. They have 4 solo shows in Osaka and Tokyo. Those tickets were sold out long ago. They just announced a nation-wide tour this spring and summer. Rumors are that they may come to Las Vegas too.

Good, they may not have won but it is what happens after that matters.
The judges and audience reactions are what prove this show is fixed, it was the most obvious golden buzzer of the entire season and they were clearly told not to give it

Their act for final is not good. Had they used the 1st or 2nd act as final then they have high chance of winning. Their last choreography and the music, background and setting has no connection at all. Their dance moves are not complicated or technical. They rely on synchronization and Japanese style music and uniqueness to stand out which is lacking in the final

Yep, stunning choreography and timing throughout, with so much going on everywhere but all gelling together
There's the precision, and then there is the whimsy and humor in the performance, the way that the choreography is always about showing and using the group as a whole. So many fun details and moments to wonder at.
Another interesting thing here, is that there is no one “special” girl in the centre of the formation. If you track them you will notice that it is always a different girl at the centre of the bursts, and who does the last gesture in a sequence. They don’t have a “star performer” they share the job. That is real team work!!
Unusual and refreshing
not to mention they 100% relied on and presented their abilities+skills to win the judges heart, which is rare nowadays as we've seen many dancers who use their body+sexual element to win. they didnt need to wear sexy or clothes that shows skin at all
@@runemidgard938Heck, even their skirts were all in sync! I’ve NEVER seen such a tight dance group, let alone how lightning-quick their moves were! At 6’4” and a total clod when it comes to dancing of any sort, I would still be thinking what move I was supposed to do next when the move would already be totally done. Mad respect and props to them!
there clearly is a main girl, but there's a lot of things round around it that are also really cool to watch is what you mean

Yes, the lack of star individualized, the similair hair cut, the same dress screams goupe cohesion.

Simon was probably (secretly) like: "Haha I already picked the winner".
And then these ladies come on and ABSOLUTELY CRUSH IT and while the other judges (and damn near the entire audience) have a massive organic and authentic reaction to the performance, he sits there like someone just splashed him with a 55 gallon drum of water; just complete and utter shock like: "oh sh*t this upsets my apple cart; I'm still gonna have to go with my predetermined winner but now it's really gonna LOOK rigged 'cause they're so good".
Or maybe he was just in shock because he couldn't believe anyone could actually do what they just did.
Maybe he had an organic reaction of disbelief and I'm just throwing him a lil too far under the bus.

Although their outfits are cute and have a general aesthetic to them, the colours and how they look have specific purposes. The wigs, the sleeves, the skirts, everything! As an artist it’s so cool to see this. The sleeves are brilliant bright white so it helps with the mesmerizing movements they create. The black wigs, are contrast against their skin and white sleeves, so when they whip their hair around it also creates that mesmerizing effect. So much effort was put into this and you can tell! Im so upset they didnt win
On top of that, the costumes make the dancers interchangeable. No one is highlighted by appearance, so we don't know who is going to stand out for a sequence, and all of them can take turns. It's brilliant, it forces you to take in the whole group instead of watching one "star"

I'm really sad they didn't win. People don't realize how much work and how painfully difficult it is to get the synchronization perfectly. They're so amazing.

it’s not just the timing which makes this so impressive but the PLACEMENT of every single one of their arms at the exact same degree is insane
The coordination is staggeringly impressive every last one of those girls would have had to learn their part individually then do it together for the end product...It boggles my mind how they accomplished such a synchronized performance.
I totally agree. The amount of hours they must have put in, several days a week for months / years is a staggering achievement in itself. That's sheer dedication to the art right there.
Every ensemble dance piece requires the same training. This group is impressive but there is nothing special about their training. It's like every other Broadway or big background performance. Just countless hours of practice.

It's really crazy how each one of them is choreographed differently, and all together at the same time. All of their performances are a masterpiece!
Actually... in regards to the third song... I believe there was a problem with the one they originally chose... something regarding copyright issues? So therefore they had to come up with a new dance routine, new choreography, etc in the few hours before that performance? Can someone confirm?
I've never seen such a great dance crew. They're so unique and it seems like they just glide effortlessly across the stage.

A lot of japanese and asian dance groups sure are good at beign in sync. Just a quick google search will give you plenty of examples
@@tyty8484 I know them very well. Apple and Oranges. they are amazing for very different reasons. Bboy/Popping/Locking/Digits skills were on point but their synchronization at speed was not on this level. This group has ZERO Bboy skills but you could swear they are all the exact same person LOL.
I love how Japanese music, dance and actingstyle is becoming more and more like it's straight out of an anime. that truly is art inspires life. I wish western art was this expressive. They really fully go for it in all artforms.
I did dance when I was younger so I can let all you non dancers know that to be THIS tight and for every dancer to be in perfect timing and rhythm with each other is phenomenal. They must of practiced for months on end and for quite a few hours every single day as it’s quite difficult for a whole dance crew to be THIS TIGHT. Impressive!!

I think I have never seen that before. It seemed like they showed me a new level of the thing. They are so good that it is as if it looks easy because in the back of my mind, I don't even understand that humans are doing this.
Fun fact, their finale performance they had to prepare for in only days. They originally had another song chosen for the finale, but they couldn't get the licensing to use it in time. So they picked Money Money Money as a backup since it's one of their most recognized youtube clips.
it's absolutely insane how perfectly synchronized they all are.
that's not just hours of practice. like they've gotta have someone watch them dance and point out every single little thing that's even one second off so that they've timed everything just right. and EVERY individual member has to get it right. especially because they're so damn good, you'd immediately notice any tiny deviation or flaw in timing. they're just incredible
Long time dancer here. Their timing is no joke. The level of synchronicity their dances require and how fast they travel it is SOOO impressive. This choreography is nothing to laugh at, no matter how simple some of the moves may seem.
And.... they make it all look effortless.
I'm not a dancer but I do tend to have an eye for detail and most of the groups I've seen on theses show there is always one person or two people slightly but this group it very smooth and almost as of if they're all one person which i know takes alot of work and dedication
Long time dancer here. This is a very common thing in Japan. It's nothing new. Maybe do some research first before claiming they are unique. In a few days or months you will never hear about them again; unless they are dancing in shopping malls.
They are not humans they are machine, is what I'd say, but this is just typical drill instructions for the Japanese, they do the same task over and over and over and over and over and over and over again to the point where the individuals health are so bad that they wouldn't mind jumping off a very tall building, that's the reality of it all. It's like how the animators work 24/7 to make anime, and not being paid enough to be able to eat food. The typical Japanese every day is crunch time, overtime, you'll only get paid for your regular hours, but you'll have the job done, or else you're fired.
That's the general Japanese mentality these days. So I don't expect anything else from a performance from a group of people from there. Had they not done a perfect job, they'd be forced to resign...
@@greekmike3040 lol someone needs to do their own research instead! They don't dance in shopping malls (nothing wrong with that tho?). Akane, the choreographer, and some members are graduates of Tomioka HS, and they're known in Japan for their popular dance club TDC. Akane's work can be seen with some Japanese idol groups and artists, and has even competed in World of Dance under TDC before Avantgardey! Her choreo is original, whimsical and distinct. There are interesting choreos but with Akane's you'll know it's hers so yes it is unique! They are active in festivals and has appeared in Japanese TV and baseball games several times
This group is Brilliant. Winners on my card. Sooo disciplined, yet they look like they are having so much fun. Kudos and respect to the choreographer, and all those Avantgardey dancers. Showing us all how it’s done!
Insane that they performed with the Oshi no Ko opening, love that song and that performance was amazing
As a long time dancer, who’s been in a performance group, their level of synchronization is insane. It takes hours on end and so much discipline to match the energy of others and move like this. The moves may seem simple but they move as a speed that is hard to maintain over a long time, plus the sheer number of members makes it extra hard. Props to this group, must’ve been a lot of hard work
The Japanese never fool around when it comes to perfection. Always on top of their game. Part of their culture.

It CANNOT be overstated the meticulous attention to detail and coordination necessary to perform even a fraction as good as these girls. To say that I am flabbergasted is an understatement.
It's probably the best dance group I've ever seen. Watching this is really satisfying and fascinating.

I'm 55 years of age and I've never seen such a talented group of dancers in my life. They are pure world class. Well done to them. They are a credit to Japan.

The level of dance of this group is not to be questioned, but their dances look a bit weird and scary, maybe that's the Japanese style for the most part~ There are still a lot of great dance creators in the world, China, South Korea, as well as Brazil need to be explored by you.

I think those girls can perform all most any dance. They’re so precise, technical, they have rythme and each of them are equals.
How could they not win. In any art form they would be brilliant and this certainly is. The amount of themselves they put into it must be unimaginable. Think about how brilliant just choreographing this is. They are all so very talented but I can not even begin to imagine how much work and practice they put into it. It's not just the dancing. They are acting out the story of the music as well. Can you even imagine the work it must take to find the right dancers, find a song, choreograph it and then to practice endlessly until the performance is that amazing. It's hard getting synchronicity between two people and what is there about 30 of them? Listen I have never watched that show. I'm a heavy metal guy but I appreciate and applaud talent no matter if it's dance, writing, film, music or penmanship.

How much effort they put into it? All their time. Probably they started it at a very young age. They are Japanese, and the Japanese soul they put into this is about focusing on one goal and practising until perfection and beyond.

Amazing...glorious...incredible...awe-inspiring...wonderful... I simply cannot think of enough glorious adjectives to describe this group of young women. I watch them (multiple times) and by their finale their beautiful precision brings tears to my eyes.

I don't know why I'm not seeing more people talk about this but omg ok so @3:00 the song is called Idol by Yoasobi and is the theme song for an anime called Oshi No Ko (it's great, highly recommend watching, especially if you enjoy shows that talk about idol culture and the reality of being in show business). In the show, two of the main characters do a dance and @3:52 the girls are doing that dance here!!! Wonderful tributes to the show and lyrics in their routine like with the heart beating movements when the word "suki" is sung meaning "like/love" is mentioned in the song, or "ichiban" meaning "one" and the girl does a one finger movement, "ai" which is a main character's name and also means "love" and so many more I'm missing. Absolutely wonderful!!!

THAT is phenomenal choreography and dancing. Utilizing the whole stage and the change in dynamics is beyond professional. I don't think America has even created anything to this level of choreography
No country on Earth does this sort of thing better than the Japanese. They just seem to have this ability to lock together in perfect synchronisation. They also have the work ethic and sense of perfection to pull this off.

This is the cleanest group I’ve ever seen dance this style. Everyone was always perfectly in time and the lines were perfect. Loved every second.
Their choreography is so unique and interesting, and their formations and muscle control is out of this world. So much more to them than synchronization, though they're amazing at that too 😍

This is the most perfect synchronicity I’ve ever seen. I didn’t see one fuck up at all and I watched it in slow motion a couple of times. The amount of practice that must have gone into this for each act is crazy. They have a connection with each other, and it definitely shows. Love it.
I love watching Avantgardey. They are so intentionally committed to every little thing they do, and it shows in each performance

I can tell that from the few japanese teacher exchange i got from my school (middle-high school)
They are crazy dedicated when they teach us.. even though they haven't fully understand indonesian and are still accompanied by my japanese teacher..

What this collection of performers did on stage was more than a demonstration of skill and talent - it was a message.

@@uzaytakip7221 I imagine it can be interpreted by many ways really, but the way I would read it is demonstration of cohesion and unity of Japanese society, which often gets criticized for its traditionalism and mono-culturalism. But that mono-culturalism allows them to have faith in other Japanese people that can let their society run smoothy - like synchronization in this dance, in which everyone performs their role perfectly.
In current globalized world the focus point is usually on "melting pot" countries like USA, while countries like Japan get criticism for their old ways. So this kind of dance from Japanese becomes kinda symbolic - demonstration of things that can be achieved when person next to you is someone familiar, who will do expected and predictable things and understand you easily.

I had goosebumps watching their performance it looks so perfect and seeing them so many but also too coordinated their talent was God tier level, as if they even surpass robots with tremendous accuracy. A new dance style solely original to them its mind blowing

This group is great. Their original and unique dance moves keep eyes glued to the screen from beginning to end. I rather hated whenever the camera would take focus off the group and switch to the judges; the judges aren't dancing! ;D Fantastic and truly different dance group. Well done.

Incredible. Almost enough to make me watch AGT. Hope they're still performing. That could be the most well timed, well crafted dance with that many people that I've ever seen. The first one blew my mind.
They are one of the best if not the best group in the world. Those ladies are amazing. Should have won is an understatement. Regardless they will go far. Super talent.
