Thanks for introducing me to the importance of the snatch, I only worked variations of the clean for years. It's my favorite movement right now. Your videos are literally the best weight coach I've ever had. I really think my daughter has a chance to reach the elite level athletics based on her tonicity and mobility. And my 41 year old ass is going to keep pushing myself in the gym in order to get her to where she can and wants to be.
So I were to conclude the whole video in order to develop explosive leg strength we need to combine the explosive leg workouts like clean and snatches with conventional workouts like back squats is that right coach?. Thanks you for bringing this up sir.

She has a really good technique. I just notice that she overextends her neck like that 7:37 and she also tightens her shoulders at 7:49 and activates her neck. Is that supposed to be like that? In general, it looks like she's working her arms a bit much. Also, the hip at 8:22 doesn't seem centered. Are these things that should still be worked on? Maybe you can comment on this :)

We usually train no foot movement lifts with her, so that probably has something to do with it. The app programs are custom to your specific sport or goal and as you progress thru weights and make changes based on exercises changes, it customizes to your need... In short it is customized and learns to adapt to you specifically the more you train with it.
Great stuff as always Dane! Miss you calling out those plate colors : "put on the 2 little reds, etc..." (only Coach I've seen doing that!) Looking forward to trying the new app in the next week or so...one observation : Devin's start stance on snatch / C & J is so wide (for her size) that she has almost NO lateral foot movement - as if she was doing everything "no-foot" style. Perhaps not ideal for a "real" Weightlifter but if she's on a General Program I suppose that's not as significant...?

We got you 💪 There are sub categories for specific sports. We have training specific to basketball players. Just choose basketball instead of Universal Training Athlete. Dane is actually using the basketball program now for an upcoming video. Hope that helps.

Coach for v ups I tell people to sit up a little with the upper body and THEN bring the legs. It's a timing issue. Technical issue not a physical problem.
Does your niece hips still swing on squats? I see this was 6 months ago, however, when she comes up, her butt comes up 1st, forcing her to lean forward on her top half, which ultimately strains her lower back. She need to fine tune that, especially pushing heavy. She'll end up with hip knee issues in the future
I think that's a great app I will probably check it out I think it should also be able to help with a specific sport instead of being more athletic in a way that can transfer well to a lot of sports why can't the user pick a sport
Great workout, love the hard work she has been given, but man the technique just made me feel uncomfertable, is that really ok? I believe in good form not a prefect one, but it seems to me that the injury risk is far greater than the reward in her case.

Get explosive? Easy, Dane! All you have to do is put a couple of firecrackers in your shoes. Won't improve your strength but it will improve explosiv...explosivit...explosivity. Sure I can't walk with no legs but it seemed a good idea at the time.

It’s a skill you have to work on for a long time to get a decent snatch-squat ratio. People that snatch 100kg squat upwards of 160
