Super helpful tutorial! Thank you. Quick question: how does the standard consumer experience change when the B2B feature is turned on? Does everyone have to go through the login-with-code process?
Yes, once you convert your Shopify store to the new account types (which is the default now for new stores) all customers will use the same system. Shopify will detect if they are B2C or B2B and then the correct pages can be shown after login.
Thanks for the great video. If I have a customer who has 40 locations and we ship the products directly to that store, does B2B allow you to have all the shipping locations associated to the same company account? I currently have Shopify Basic and Shopify will not allow me to "try out" Shopify Plus without committing to a full upgrade. thx
You can create up to 500 locations (i.e. shipping locations) per company. Each of those locations are tied to the company account and users can choose to ship to any of those. If you're looking to upgrade to Plus to use the B2B features, please reach out to use we can help you through the process and setup the B2B configs.
Thanks for watching the video. Are you asking about payments? Shopify will allow you to take payments for the B2B order. You can take full payment or provide terms to the company.
I have the same question. Is there any way that the customer can place deposit on their order? For example: the order total is $1,000 and a 20% deposit would be needed to place the order ($200). If there is a way to track payments/deposits, would the balance of the order change? Our customers like to pay chunks at a time for large orders
@@valentina-b Unfortunately, this is not a feature currently supported by the B2B services. There is no way to set a specific deposit amount and then have Shopify track payments. Since this is a B2B flow, you can potentially extend terms and track partial payments offline.
We got 800+ SKUs. It would be pretty tedious for our cuatomers to select one by one the SKUs when placing large orders. Is it possible to have them importing a spreadsheet (csv or xls) to Shopify? Would Shopify be able to pit together the order?
That is not a native feature of the current B2B options. There some apps that could support that however adding a front-end CSV upload is not configurable in the existing feature set.
The B2B features require the Shopify Plus plan. It's part of the suite of features that come with Plus. Let us know if you need help with the upgrade to Plus.
I want to offer big ticket B2B products at xx% down + 12 monthly payments with a total credit limit depending on the company, ie 50% down with a total limit of $10,000 financed at a time. Is there any way to customize this instead of having the maximum be $0 down and net 90 terms? I want customers to be able to log in and make monthly payments at their convenience or ideally on autopay.
This type of manual pay-as-want is not a paradigm currently support via the B2B payment options in Shopify. You could offer Shopify's Shop Pay as an installment option as long as it's not more than $20k. Maybe see if that would work. Here is the link: help.shopify.com/en/manual/payments/shop-pay-installments
Is there a way to assign multiple discounts to a single customer that trigger based on order total? For instance, in my store I intend to provide B2B customers with 30% discount under $3k, 50% between $3k and $6k, and 70% for $6k+. I want to assign these 3 tiers to every customer and have it automatically apply based on these parameters.
You will probably need to use Shopify Functions to write custom scripts to handle thus type of discount as the native Catalog doesn't have this feature.
The company accounts can have admins and users, however the admins cannot approve orders. Anyone assigned to the company can place orders based upon the rules of the company. There currently not a setting where the company admin user can approve orders before they are approved.
Is there a way to edit shipping for b2b customers when they go in and place an order? My store provides free shipping over $70.00, however I don't want to offer this for b2b buyers. Additionally, we want our b2b buyer's orders to ship in bulk from our warehouse, rather than Amazon Logistics (what we use for individual customers). This b2b system seems way too basic and doesn't allow for this type of shipping and fulfillment customization.
It is possible to use Shopify Functions to customize the shipping displayed to customers. It would require the creation of a small script to remove the free shipping option for B2B customers.
You can use the Shopify Forms App (apps.shopify.com/shopify-forms) to create a B2B sign-up form. This will let B2B users sign-up and send them to you for approval.
Perfectly explained. Thank you 🙂
You’re welcome 😊 Thanks for watching.

Great video! thank you! Helped me so much. By the way, is there a chance to display the compare-at price for B2B customers?
Yes, just add the compare at price on the product and it will display in your theme. Assuming you haven't made some type of theme customization.
Thank you for this tutorial. Shopify never explain anything lol - just pretty stock pics and titles.
You're welcome, we hope it's helpful. We have more coming.

Can we show gift card option in shopify b2b checkout? If yes how I have giftcard section and created a gift card but its not visible to checkout page
The Gift Card option is available at checkout. The field supports discount codes and Gift Cards.

This is on the Plus plan? 2300.00 a month? for something this basic?! ... might as well write my own code.
Yes, B2B features require the Plus plan on Shopify.
Now make a video how to make b2b e commerce website.
This sounds like a good idea. Are there certain aspects that you want to see or learn about when it comes to making a B2B site?
