I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since. The genre, along with artists like Michael Jackson, Aaliyah, Britney Spears, etc. then motivated me into becoming a hip-hop/pop dancer, which was a very active lifestyle for me literally throughout my whole 20s. (XTRA DANCE 411- I danced for, trained, and performed with 4 different dance teams. My first and main dance team who started my "dance life" was with Marvelous Motion (who later became IaMmE, America's Best Dance Crew Season 6 Champions). A lot of my dance training came from Di "Moon" Zhang, Brandon "747" Harrell, Emilio Dosal, SOREAL, and from attending many dance classes in Houston and L.A. (from amazing local talent to widely-known talents such as Parris Goebel, Keone Madrid, Kyle Hanagami, Lando Wilkins, Mister Wiggles, Rino Nakasone)
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music and dance around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis, seizures, and a heart murmur. I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with Kpop or dance. Luckily, I'm in remission now. That doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups if I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible. I am also not capable of being an active dancer like I used to be due to my chronic illnesses, but I’m still a dancer in my mind, heart, and soul.
ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛 Sooo I am currently and actively keeping a weather eye on the KPOP horizon and also using what I’ve learned from my dance years to give credit where it’s due!

TXT went to the USA for some months just to get training in different types of dance styles before they debuted. They made sure that they debut as all rounders.
I’ve only heard of JK doing that before debuting. 🧐

This one and Blue Orangeade is a must watch for the choreography cuz dang they are a handful. Blue Orangeade is defo my fav and the satisfying foot stumps, even the cleverness of the dance moves is really satisfying that it's amazing they did that when they just debuted. They trained to do hiphop concepts😊 so im still amazed how they managed to do cutesy and bubbly concept in their debut💕

No ignore those kinds of comments please. I actually enjoy your insights. As a non dancer myself I enjoy watching and learning dancers perspective or insights about their choreos, since you can really point out things or moments that a dancers trained eyes can point out and appreciate. Moments that we non dancers tend to overlook or ignore, but when a reactor points these moments out , I can gain another reason to appreciate their choreos more. So just continue what your doing and ignore those kinds of comments.

txt said themselves this was one of their hardest choreo! i think it only had one or two stages (well from what I’ve seen). I recommend their “angel or devil” music video! it’s a b side that they promote after their title tracks for example we lost the summer after blue hour, magic after lovesong etc. (angel or devil one was after runaway)
edit: at 9:15 where they form a line the lyrics mention “dragon” and they formed a line to create wing like visuals behind kai! very genius and all the plane flying that they’re doing I think refers to the dragon which is the monster!

I know that you told that you like to check the bsides out on your own, but I think most of us (or at least me) are waiting for that reaction cuz it's going to be really funny! It does have a music video but it is part of the TXT universe so it doesn't contain the whole song but parts of it. I think you can do a reaction video of you listening to the song on spotify and then reacting to the whole music video.

I'm so excited for your review. According to TXT themselves, when they were trainee, they trained lot on doing isolation.
Thina, FYI this Sunday (October 3rd) TXT will have online concert at 5pm KST.
They were actually heavily trained on hiphop during there early days. HOWEVER, when they went to America for dance training they were introduced to a lot of new dance genres and techniques broadening their skills and flexibility in dancing.
The fact that they didn't satisfied with this dance practice video because they thought they didn't sync make me cryಥ‿ಥ

This dance practice was recorded long after they initially practiced for the the stage so they had to quickly refresh and remind themselves of the moves etc. They said that it could have been done better if recorded earlier and this alone is insane... they pulled off such a high quality dance practice and they were still not satisfied ^^ when you're a perfectionist... ❤🥰
Finally!!! This is my favorite choreo from them. They did train in US for months in a dance studio named Movement Lifestyle.

From watching their contents, I know Yeonjun mentioned he was the only one with any formal dance training and it wasn't that much. All the other members came in as none dancers or with little experience. In Talk x Today zero they showed that BH sent them to the US for training predebut. I also remember Beomgyu once talking about how hard it was for him because he came in with no training and was actually at the bottom in evaluations so he had to do a lot in a short space of time because he was the last member to join. He almost gave up. I can't remember the exact content for this but it would most likely also be Talk x Today.
They also mentioned they trained in the more hip hop style prior to debut so Crown and the Star album was actually a shock for them. If they mentioned any more information I may have missed it.
Their footwork are insane. So satisfying to watch.

they are more trained in hiphop, they went to US to explore more genre on dancing, check their clips on training Talk x Today Zero where u can see sessions of them w different trainees and dance instructors. It's really amazing how they can easily pull of their debut showcase, cus as far as I remember that's not the original genre that they made for debut, but still they pull it off!

I remembered yeonjun and taehyun is the first one to fly on US to trained and then followed by the rest of the members. And the answer for your question is YES they did alot of hiphop/isolation on their trainee days.

cwjltma is definitely their hardest choreography before drama, no rules, and roller coaster choreos comes along, and still is!! no rules is on the top tho, the boys said it themselves lmao xD but cwjltma comes close on it along with drama on no 2, blue orangeade and roller coaster on no 3
