I don't understand how we come up with the zeros
Great explanation but, a slight mistake towards the end: (45×)(-3) is equal to -135× and not -145x.
@@mathcollab You caught that as well. Otherwise, good lesson.
Yes , btw 3×45=135 not 145
@@mathcollab its a trick, He's a genius! He will only know that you really understand the problem if you found the mistake!

Yep studying for midterms
Why not dude? I always find my self coming back here. I was done with this long time ago tho. I don't wanna lose it so i keep refreshing my mind.

@Brantley Drake bots
@Devon Damon where can i find google xD
Uhh, there's an easy way to solve this. Synthethic division is the key, thank me later.

10:50 , 45 times 3 is 135 , I got so confused there I multyplied multiple times and at last used a calculator , it is 135 , mistakes happen , else it's all great , keep up the good work
Same, I multiplied a lot of times but still get 135
Same, i got too confused lol
Thanks! I thought I made a mistake (pretty common) lol
yeah. he made a mistake.
I had the same problem, but we all make mistakes
You are the most amazing math tutor on TH-cam! You have an incredible talent for making the math look so easy. I just wish my math teacher explained things as well as you do. Please keep making these videos, because I will need to take a ton of math courses to major in Biology.
As far as I know, biology doesn't need much math--but math can train you to think critically and analytically, which is certainly an important skill to have if you're a scientist.
Thank you naliwanagan na ako ngayon hayst thanks lord
@@kinanradaideh5479 you really don't need much other than basic algebra, but if you major in any biological science you tend to have to take a bunch of math classes to get your degree. I'm a pre-vet animal science major and I have to take everything from college algebra to advanced calculus to graduate, but I'll likely only need basic algebra once I'm actually in the work field
@@cassimmons1613 true i am in computer programming currently taking college algebra and you def. need the basics to pass the class
@@anunknownperson4018 you need more than the basic algebra if you're going to do computer science. In fact computer science is one of the most maths intensive courses. You'll basically be in the department of maths doing computer science
Thank you so much organic chemistry tutor ! I've been stuck for so long but just the first 1:54 mins saved me

You are wayyyy better than Khan academy!
Yessss
agreeeeeeeddd
Agreeeeeeeeeee
On what basis did you make the comparison? Khan Academy explains mathematics quite well where TOCT fails to do so, he just shows the process without really explaining why it happens.
@@meownamejeff I get what you mean. But TOCT explains the process way better than Khan Academy (for me at least).
I am generally really good at math, but my grade has been dropping (for reasons I won’t state). This channel is pretty much going to save my grade lol
Edit: It didn’t. But this channel has still been super helpful.

Hope u recover from ur downsides in life :>
@@azyle2104 7:35 i need help why did he add 0x3 and 0x
@@blazeworm1759 okay so imagine that a formula always has to LOOK complete
x⁴ + 3x³ + 2x² + x + 1 = 0
This looks very complete , right ? There's no x to a certain power missing .
But if you look at this example :
x³ + x + 6 = 0
In a way, it looks incomplete because the x² is missing ... but hey ! We can write in a way where we can bring the x² in the equation AND the initial equation will still hold true
We do that by making the coefficient of the x² WE ARE INTRODUCING , 0 ... so 0x²
So that 'incomplete' equation will now become :
x³ + 0x² + x + 6 = 0
And of course 0 multiplying anything, is still 0 .. thats why the equation still holds true
@@blazeworm1759 in the video's example , the equation looks incomplete because we dont have an x³ or an x ... so he introduces it in the equation by the way I just told you
This is literally the channel on youtube
shut up keep there's plenty of good (even better than this one) channels explaining synthetic division and math in general.

Thankyou for teaching me long division.
Thank you for going slow and explaining these concepts so well! You're fantastic.
dude you taught this more clearly in 12 minutes than my teacher did in the span of 5 days
Say that again
My teacher taught us this thing under 20 minutes while mocking us, and yet we still don't know because it happened too fast.
Thank you so much. I didn't understand it when my teacher was going over it but after I watched this video I found it so much easier to do. Thanks!
I love how after trying to get this for a week i still couldn't and my teacher couldnt get me to understand too, after 2 minutes of watching this i understood everything
No matter how many times my teacher could tell me how to do this, I wouldn't be able to understand it. There's just too many people in my class for one person to individually help. Thank you for this! You're gonna save my grade big man :)
Second to the last set is 135 not 145 ...but good literally best youtube math tutor lots of love🤞🏿
teacher got to this by the end of class and i was so confused. first few minutes of this video cleared everything up. thank you!!
After watching this video I think that my maths teacher should take maths classes from this man .
I don't know what's the reason behind making a sum so hard to understand.
But all credit goes to you for making it easy 💗
Who here in 2024 watching for exam review ??

Wow, my class learned better from you than me! Thank you.
ur the best Mr ao!
I was struggling with this for like almost a week as I was never teached long division but after rewatching and following the technique closely step by step it just clicked I fw you bro
Omg thank you so much for this! I was not able to join class and when the teacher gave notes i couldn't understand. Your a life saver and good bless you! ❤️
U just saved my life brother. A true one.
At this point start tutoring teachers how to teach, they have a lot to learn from you!
I love how you are not vague with your explanations, like, you spend time explaining every step.
Your literally a godsend bc my teacher did 5 practice problems and I didnt understand but the first time u said do it on ur own I got it correct 😭
OMG!!!! THANKYOU SO MUCH YOU TAUGHT ME MORE THAN MY TEACHER HAS IN THE PAST YEAR WITH JUST ONE VIDEO!!!!! I LOVE YOU, THE ORGANIC CHEMISTRY TEACHER!!!!!!
P.S.

Sir you made a mistake in 10:43 because 45 x (-3) is 135, not 145....
its not even 135 its -135 lol
the final answer is 6x3+18x2+45x+135+423/x-3
also I respect the fact that their is an actual human who saw that mistake
So helpful. I'm studying to take the GRE right now, and haven't done arithmetic, algebra, or geometry since highschool... Which ended 6 years ago for me. Thank you for making this easy to understand, I was so frustrated with myself for not remembering how to do basic math
i swear this helped me so much, i have my exams in 2 days i understood so much thank you so much

hi please answer asap, 7:41 where does the 0x^3 come from? how do we know when we need to add it? pls someone answer I have a test coming up
Can someone explain 6:36 for me please? I'm confused with the final answer
Since there is a remainder the way you write the final answer by writing the quotient (the numbers at the top) plus what is left over what you were trying to divide it by
@@mariacastillo4121 still confused
I honestly don’t understand what happened at 7:55 where did the 0x^3 and 0x come from. That threw me completely off.😪
Me too lol...
*Searching for the ans in comment section*
Yeah you add the 0's because in the problem there was no number that had x^3 and 0x, so you add them as filler.
@@krisha_panchal but why?
@@jeff8966 if there is no place holder then you won't be able to solve the problem, you can't subtract x^3 from x^2, therefore you have the place holder x^3-0^3
you still don't get it ? or do you get it now ? lol 1yr later
you really saved me at 7:40. I was struggling for the longest time how i would solve my problem and couldnt find anything on google. this was my eureka moment. thank you so much

ngl its so easy with how u explain it but it is always confusing when teachers do it 😅
Great explanation
A great useful video. Thanks. Still watching from the UK in (July) 2024 - Note: At 10’55” (-3) x 45 does not equal 145… instead (-3) x 45 = 135 … a forgivable minor slip 🫤but unfortunately it does carry through in the final answer😮.
Thank you so much for this quick refresher. I’m so grateful ❤I have an exam and I had to quickly review this to be sure. Thanks once again
45 X -3 = 145 wrong
135 correct
In the last problem the remainder should be 423
Thank you kind sir, i can now pass math
Thanks so much.
when you multiplied 45 x by -3 is -135x not -145x but great video keep up the good work

3×45=135 @jg channel, great explanation,
Correction why 45x3 is 135 not 145. btw thank you this is a very big help to me being a slow learner in math
