Hi I have a version 11.0.1 vici instance running and would like to restore a backup from version 7.0.4, followed these steps although running into an issue when restoring the asterisk db, it takes a very long time and doesn't seem to complete, what should I do? DB is about 3GB
The database schema is different for version 11 and 7 . It's not possible to use this method. You need to load current dB and then run migration scripts

Hi , You can use the same script but you need to specify what you want to backup based on the role of your sever. For example for DB just config and DB ... Anyway getting backup for asterisk configs on a db role server doesnt make sense. So just use the same script but based on the role of the server specify what do you want to backup.
For cluster mode you need to use the same method but do separately in each node . I try to name a video for it later but overall you should know you can use the same backup script and no need to load db on non db roles

Im not sure if I can help here . your error is too general . Something went wrong during your process . You need to check logs and troubleshoot it. I dont have a quick straight forward answer for it .
thanks a lot it s very helpful but theres something wrong when i finished restoring the data everything is good exept users fields , fields like user number password are empty i tried from different machines but i god the same problemes
No i m not talking about list .in the old vicidial server i had 21 users starting from 100 to 121 when i restored the data in the new server i got all my data including my 21 users but i can t modify those users i m getting the fields empty so i can t modify my users
@@cgnx7221 are you upgrading from the older version of VICIBOX to the new version of VICIBOX ? If yes then the database is changed and you need to run the latest database query. What I have explained here is backup and restore for the same version of VICIdial.
@@cgnx7221 its strange . It should work . User data is in database and config files that this method restores both. I also using it without any problem. Maybe logs can help or if you compare database tables.

you can run this command /usr/share/astguiclient/ADMIN_backup.pl --help it will give u help out put and it you can use the switch that is fit to your server role.

after restore my backup, my list is not showing anywhere
@@rakeshkohel553 it should . Anyway list is just 2 tables in db . Name are vicidial_list and vicidial-lists . You can export and import to new server

What do you mean by user fields ? Do you have custom userfields in lists ?
