This is the new frontier of phone photography. You really provided photos that unless printed poster size, it would be extremely hard to believe that an 8x10 or even 11x14 was taken with a smartphone. Great job!
It’s really amazing how good the subject cutoff in Portrait mode is getting - it used to look fake-looking and often with stiff falloffs. In the last couple of years, Portrait mode has matured into a solid and reliable feature in many phones.
I look at photography this way, it doesn't matter how good you are as a photographer, you'll shoot trash images every session. What differs between photographers, and people taking images, is that the photographer knows what to keep and what to bin. I don't know of any photographer that claims all their shots are calculated bangers.
Brandon, always making it look easy, but more so, showing the gear chasers it’s about the operator not the equipment. I liked the outcome of the images, which goes to show that you can “get into photography,” with something that’s accessible, to almostly everyone.
