Awesome video Joe. Looks WAY better on the 4.19s. More realistic look. Think this is the way im going with my 10.3
That was really cool, I like the 4.19’s Little less pumpkin clearance. I just put a set on my VS 410 Pro the Voodoo KLR/M ‘s i’ve been running the same tire but 4.75, these are my go to tire. Love the look on my pro with the 4.19’s Appreciate you sharing happy crawling

THEY REALLY do fit nice, far better look than most crawlers have. Half tempted to put them on my Traxxas Slayer Pro as well; I've got 1.9 beadlocks on it and run 4.19 crawler tires anyway. Currently it's got a set of Proline Grunts on it.

Really? They matched the body but I rarely every like or want wheels of any color other than chrome.

i really like the scale looks of the 4.19 tire. I have 4.19 Hyrax on another rig already. It's always a balance between scale and performance for me. I'm going to have to grab a set of these.

I am with you on the smaller size of the tyres, and there was twice I thought no way will it climb them as I have seen bigger tyred vehicles of yours fail and hardly any slippage.

Thanks for the video. I’ve been considering a set of these for my new build. I think I will get a set but this confirmed I’ll definitely need firmer foams.
These have a new foam in them that works pretty well, with this thing being so heavy they could be a bit stiffer but on a 6lb truck I think they'd be just about perfect. I shoulda shown them in the video
Exocaged RC I’ve seen a pic of the foams. Single stage with the 20 year old comp cut. I’ll be somewhere around 8lbs when said and done and I always vent so CI duals stage foams for me with them. I see enough tire roll on your lighter set up to know the stock foams aren’t going to cut it for me.
Right as you said shorter shock, I was thinking that it could use some droop or something lol, but yeah looks great on the jeep.
After the 2.2s, everyone knew they had to (sooner, or later) release a 1.9 version. All I can say is, "Finally."
Tires look great. At least you know what the clicking is although it still sucks there's not a permanent fix yet. You definitely are a 10.3 transmission expert though.
Try solder in place of the aluminum foil might last longer. I use it around the pins in my driveshaft on my redcat gen7 when they start wearing makes them last a lot longer.
I got the Bowhouse adapter and put a 3 gear in my 10.3. I never use a 2 speed or dig on a scaler and the clicking drove me nuts.
that tire size does look way better. im in the market for some tires I kind of want a v tread but im not sure running fully locked on blacktop just shreds tires and lately I have been playing on the asphalt turnings piles at my local blacktop plant they just shred the wheels

I wonder if you can get those scx10.3 axles for their 6x6?
I think the body needs to be lowered a tad for looks and it will help the performance
yeah I was looking at lowering the whole thing but I'd need shorter shocks and then the front trackbar and steering would have clearance issues. The way the body is mounted I don't really see a way to lower it.

I wonder what would happen if you made a electroplating set up out of a trickle charger and copper sulfate in water then copper plated the gears if the soft copper taking out a mill of slop if it would just make things bind of work great
don't know, I'd have to cover the gear teeth to keep them from getting larger
Got an off topic question for ya..will a 80 amp brushed ESC hold up to an 8T brushed motor 2s Lipo, I'm trying to build myself a beast and I want something that is 4 wheel drive and fast.

sorta yeah but they have a purpose, weight and no stripping of the wheel hex are the main ones.

man I have lost so many axle shafts and portal gears to loose piles of concrete chunks just takes one wheel to bind in and pop goes the teeth
I rarely have issues with portal gears, on the first gen8's I broke a few

well I've been doing the Nasty so much lately I figured I'd take a break.. LOL
why going bigger? bigger tires look like monster truck. If you have a scale model, stay scale when you think about new wheels and tire, and drive it like a scale!
