Thanks for your feedback. When I was researching this I saw both dates mentioned. More sources said 1978, so I went with that. If it was actually 1975, then even more people have to deal with this problem.

@@courtneyanderson3108 In 1976 Genova made a book and mentioned their poly butylene which was beige and could be glued to cpvc fittings.
