Haha, I did the same. Homework was ditched as soon as the wars resumed. I kept switching from one channel to the other to see what was happening on both sides of the trenches. More than often, I chose WCW up until Kevin Nash defeated Goldberg and ended his streak. Watching Steve Austin kicking Vince's ass every night was more fun at that moment too. WWE/F simple had more stable material and it paid off. But the Sting vs the entire nWo angle was possibly the most epic stuff pro wrestling ever generated. Hogan never has been my fave ( Macho Man is ) but he did a tremendous job carrying the biggest heel faction ever created. I also loved DDP's rise to stardom, Chris Jericho's weekly mic time, the luchadores who were doing spectacular high flying work, Raven and the flock with deep storylines and Scott Steiner being a genetic freak! I even miss the way people threw garbage on the ring. We'll never see this stuff ever again.
I bet you can already hear the firework explosions after the theme dies down and starts up again at the good part where Mean Gene Okerlund starts talking

In the UK if you couldn't afford Sky Sports, WCW was the place to go it was easy enough to get a cheap sky box which didn't require a subscription to overpriced sky. We would get TNT straight after Cartoon Network finished at 7pm you'd get WCW Nitro.
-For what it's worth, the ghost of WCW will always linger and haunt the WWE and this is coming from a guy that used to favor WWE during the Monday Night Wars.

Hearing this takes me back to simpler times. I started watching pro wrestling back in 1998, I would have only been 6 years old. Growing up in Scotland it showed on channel 5 on a friday evening. I've been hooked ever since. Also reminds me of the wcw mayhem video game as this theme was used for quite a few wrestlersfor some reason.
Just heard the news that AEW is getting a t.v. deal on TNT. Had to come back here as it feels like the Monday night wars all over again. I like to think that wcw has been reincarnated into AEW, back to finish off what they started over 20 years ago and I for one welcome the end of WWE with open arms

southroncross Raw beat Nitro ending their streak the Raw after WrestleMania 14 when stone Cold won the WWF Championship. They traded wins back and fourth until after Halloween Havoc 1998 (thanks Warrior) and then they lost. But the Fingerpoke of Doom put the final nail in the coffin. It was the same episode when they revealed that Mick Foley won the WWF Championship and everyone switched to Raw. They switched back just to witness Hogan say "fuck everyone! I'm the champion AGAIN". RIP WCW. You are sadly missed
