I told my wife before the game started, go ahead and plan stuff for the afternoon because the game will likely be over by halftime. But I wanted to watch some of it anyway, as a Michigan fan. I, in no way, expected any favorable results for the Wolverines and was already prepared to get blown out.

Sherrone Moore (and assistants), in his first full year of head coaching, outcoached Day and Chip Kelly. Ryan Day always looks like he has a bad case of heartburn... he puts too much pressure on his team. OSU had to win.... UM wanted to win.. UM won the mental game. OSU kicker showed the pressure.

I disagree, Woody was a tough as nails Head Coach. He was a disciplinarian / historian. He had his Buckeye’s tough & hard nosed. 20 years after his retirement, OSU has completely changed, after 97. Woody wouldn’t have allowed his players to ditch classes and have 0.00 GPA’s, hell no. Hayes taught history classes and demanded scholarly excellence. As a Wolverine fan, OSU’s worst mistake was becoming a wide open offense - Urben Meyer. The Buckeye’s have gone away from what Woody created. They are a soft program and recruit massive talent that shies away from trench warfare. Moore owns the Buckeye’s and Bo would be Proud.

CBS had a great segment on the OSU program, there’s no fun or joy for them anymore. It’s always pressure all the time. It causes them to play and coach tight instead of playing loose, which came back to bite them

I disagree scoring that td would have definitely helped us. Watch the final Osu drive they could not block Michigan’s front 4. Even if they went to trying to throw sooner it would not have mattered. That front 4 was dominating osu’s offensive line. They didn’t call one blitz on that drive yet we’re in Howard’s face

I think it was a beautiful display of how you can get in your enemy’s head, and at least level the playing field. I think UM got in OSUs head, and OSU starts looking around like … “wtf why aren’t we pulling away, what’s going on?” They all start looking to each other for help, and then to their coach - who was ALSO like “wtf is going on”

You know what no one is talking about that happened during the brawl. I try to leave God out of winning and losing in sports competition.... other than thanking him for allowing us to have it and the things it can do for peoples lives I believe he doesn't control outcomes. It's on video and I wish I knew who they were. It started with 1 Wolverine and 3 OSU players but ended with about 5 from each side if you can see a video that goes long enough. During the Melee you can see a clear shot of 3 Ohio State players and two that could be coaches locked arms in prayer 🙏 with 3 players and 2 coaches from Michigan. Out of all that fist swinging, grown men temper tantrums and hatred 10 people from opposite sides knew what was most important. I seriously commend all involved in that show of faith. Go Blue

I was born and raised in Ohio, about 60 miles west of Columbus, and a Michigan fan. I can tell you from my own personal experience that OSU entire identity is “TTUN” and beating them at all costs, that is it. They will admit that it doesn’t matter if they are undefeated, all they care about is beating Michigan. After last year’s game, there were news segments and podcasts of OSU fans (emphasis on *fans* not players or staff) lamenting that fact. They are without a doubt the most toxic, obnoxious, and rude fan base of any CFB team. They are so bad I stopped wearing any UM stuff at all and stopped telling anyone I was a fan.
Thank god I live in Florida now where no one cares about OSU.

This game was poetry in motion. Poetic Justice at its finest. They've been crying all year about how the only reason Michigan won the last 3 years is because they 'stole signs'. Calling our national championship a 'natty light' or a ***natty. As if Michigan didn't physically kick their asses up and down the field 2021-23. And this year was monumental. A 6-5 Michigan team goes into Columbus and shocks their rival, ranked #2 at the time. What is their excuse this year??? They have none! They have none 🤣

Can we just take a moment to be thankful that we won’t have to hear from national talking heads on how great JT and Jack are. Both were touted as the next boss’s and both were wildly underwhelming in big games. Of Davis doesn’t gift Jack an INT, this game would’ve been no different. However, Jack made it up on the crucial third and 6 when he ended up on the ground watching Mullings scamper down the sideline.
Day let 33 seconds run off the clock, down to the 2min warning. That was huge.

This game is always different. I asked my son did he notice anything different or crazy? The ball blew off the kicking tee, every time Ohio teed it up. Michigan was penalized more than Ohio State of course, blown FG attempts, gave Ohio multiple opportunities to get ahead even when they took the ball away from us, Ohio State played Michigan football by trying to run it up the gut, and they had every advantage to pass over us knowing our secondary wasn't good. Michigan had the superior kicker. Ohio had every chance to fight during the game, but chose to fight the after the game. It was a Stratego moment. You're supposed to plant the flag after you conquer your enemy.

Let's solve the mystery. Why did Bucks play both dumb and awful? The weather. Bitter cold. Gusting winds. The ball feels like granite, slippery granite. It's much harder to control and catch, even hang onto. Hits hurt way worse and injuries are easier to get. The turf feels harder. It's harder to see and think on the field once you start to get chilled.
Two points about OSU. Will Johnson got a huge hit in the second quarter and wasn't the same. I think he was concussed and I think the staff knew it and (after the INTs) decided they didn't dare risk passing the ball given the conditions. Instead, they'd let their five stars manhandle the depleted interlopers and show em a thing or six about running the ball. Which leads us to
Point two. The 24 million dollar squad had come to Columbus as a business decisions team. They were spoiled, coddled, indulged, privilege (if history tells us anything, they were protected from law enforcement) and in a world of pain and cold against a furious opponent, they continued to make business decisions. Especially when their coaches and the media told them they were uncrowned national champions and Michigan had forgotten how to play football. Wrong. Michigan spent a very short season going from an utterly depleted staff and a squad who had to rebuild and recover from devastating injuries, to high functioning, well drilled team determined to play the game their coaches devised and who trusted each other to execute.
That's the truth. Ruth.
All the rest is sound and fury signifying nothing. Sherone said "Win the running game." And they did. They came into the Shoe knowing they could.
