I can see why she would learn Japanese, Chinese, and English because the Kpop industry mostly focuses on countries that specifically speak those languages. BTS and SNSD has songs that are in Japanese and Korean. Jessica had her songs sung in two different versions as well (Korean and English). Exo sand in Chinese and Korean as well.
Afaik many Asian people are interested in German language. Don't know about Korea but I've got a friend living in Japan and he told me. Also in anime and stuff you often see German words being used.

They're not just crazy skilled and don't have a single weak singer, their voices also complement each other super well. They're right up there with Mamamoo in the absolute top tier of vocal groups in the whole industry.
Siyeon has more technical skill but Yoohyeon is so clear, purely sound-wise her voice is my favorite of DC (her lows!). They really are the only group I've seen, of any gender, that gets close to Mamamoo in vocals or presence; but Dreamcatcher has more visuals and orders of magnitude better choreography. Moosomnias unite! Love them both. It really is possible.

@jocriss I think you heard wrongly. I may have been wrong about the autotune part, but the key that they were both singing is the same, and Dreamcatcher is singing the same octave as the Wish girl. They both were singing in the original octave, so why don't you listen to all three of them again.

The entire lineup is very good. Unfortunately (just my opinion) only a few groups have ALL of the members that could probably do well as soloists. I think Dreamcatcher is one of them. (I also liked all of KARA's solo releases too)

that's what I always think. She has such strong support for her notes , if she gives a shot for Siyeon's high notes she might actually have more support than her. But her vocal tone doesn't have that rock/pop vibe similar to our Siyeon, maybe this is why Yoohyeon is lead in Dreamcatcher given that dc is a more rock/jpop/dark/mysterious vibe group. Might as well call both of them main while Sua and Jiu leads. I don't agree she's among the best in the industry but I do agree she's very extremely underrated for what she can do. She deserves to be much more known for what she can do. This is a difficult song to sing without shouting and she handles the fragile parts very well. I'm surprised she's not even the main vocal in dreamcatcher! (perhaps siyeon's voice fits the group style better?)
Apparently, I never commented on this video?? I've been listening to it for about as long as I've been stanning Dreamcatcher! I remember that the day I heard this cover for the first time, I started crying uncontrollably, and I kept crying whenever I thought about it for the rest of the week. I'm not sure if Yoohyeon relates to this song or if she's just an amazing actor, but the emotions in her voice sound REAL. So very real. At the time, I wasn't out to anyone except a few friends. My classmates avoided me after I came out, but my parents have chosen to support me and I'm at a college that's much more accepting now. But with the state of the country and the world... I hope I never have to hide again

This song speaks to the people of the LGBTQ+ community which we know that Yoohyeon at the very least supports. Which I might also mention is not accepted in South Korea. Yoohyeon's being a lead singer because her voice is perfect for opening the chorus. From their first debut "Chase me" to "Boca, it's almost always been our girl to open it. That be said, lead vocalist can be as good as main vocalist, they just have different role in a song ^^. And when you are confused who have what role, you know you are stanning talent. I don't agree she's among the best in the industry but I do agree she's very extremely underrated for what she can do. She deserves to be much more known for what she can do. I remember that the day I heard this cover for the first time, I started crying uncontrollably, and I kept crying whenever I thought about it for the rest of the week. I'm not sure if Yoohyeon relates to this song or if she's just an amazing actor, but the emotions in her voice sound REAL. So very real.

Also let's not forget that iconic moment where she denied the word "man" in the interview where they asked about her ideal partner and replaced it w/ "person".
