Chessmatch & Friends at the SARASOTA MEDIEVAL FAIRE!

This isn't your normal fair...
This isn't a renaissance festival... it's MEDIEVAL!
I was the artistic director for the festival from 2005-2020 helping it grow, creating scenarios and assisting the aesthetic planning, choreographing and directing the Human Combat Chessmatch.
With an amazing cast, staff and supporting help, I finally passed on the reins to the new directors Rod and Branden and as they helped me transition it for the 5 years prior, it made sense to let them have it as my family and I moved to Atlanta for Witch's promotion and my (and now the kids) TV/Film work.
Witch still assists with the social marketing and attends most of the weekends working in the front office, for neither one of us really want to let it go, because our hearts were poured into this.
The producer of the festival has become family to us and we want to support where we can, and now that the festival finally has a PERMANENT home - we can't wait to see it grow in the future!
