I don’t know if this is true or not but I feel like relay dances started off as more of a challenge or game and now they are more choreographed because every group already knows they’re gonna have to do them with every comeback. if you look at a lot of groups that are like 2 or more years old their first few relay dances are pretty chaotic and get better technically, become cleaner and more creative every time they do a new one. And new groups like TXT, MCND and more already know what was going to be expected so ALL of theirs have been awesome from debut.
Yeah, back then it was a challenge to dance the original choreo in relay but since some choreos are very complicated, it was pretty chaotic and uncoordinated, so the members in turn mostly goofed around. But now since the groups know what's to be expected, they rearrange their choreo to not only the relay challenge itself but also the frontal view.

Sike, I just remembered there is no dance practice for mirror beside the random speed one and a switch parts one. That's because the mv is already a performance one, so you should be able to see well the choreo from that alone. Other comments are right tho, hyunjin's cover of psycho is iconic! And if you want to know more about the members, maybe you could start with the dance line (Hyunjin, Felix, Minho), besides hyunjin's videos already mentioned, we have Minho's performance "dawn" and a "Skz-player" video of all three together (just search "Stray Kids dance line" to find it). I strongly recomend the dance practices for Grrr and Miroh i think that you are going to love the dances, because all thogether make the coreo so much more impresive, and I am not sure if there is a dance practice for mirror, but there is a Performance Video. I loved the video
mirroh doesnt really translate that well to relay dance I think a lot of the interest comes from the effect that the moves create in groups. the lovely canon before hyunjins solo, the bomb-splash jumps, the rows of swaying etc. the moves themselves are sometimes not that compellig because its the group coordination that makes them cool.
Definitely recommend watching the dance practice for mirror you’ll be impressed and see the synchronization on it and you’ll probably see a deeper depth into the emotions put on the dances
This dance for Miroh is based on the Maori dance, The Haka. both Bang chan and Felix said they appreciate the haka and this has a lot of the same moves. Especially the pose that Bang Chan starts the dance with. You should check out a haka video. Also Grr is off their pre debut album Mixtape. Fantastic.
also idk if you'll ever notice it but even though the "extra shots" are sometimes really cool and better, it's not about "keeping that one" because all the relay dances are only one shot.. they do several takes (sometimes only one, and that's why some don't have extra footage) and choose the one where there are less mistakes and etc
Random fact about Miroh, Bang Chan put Kapa Haka (Maori kinda dance) into the choreo because he really liked the Maōri culture. You can see it whenever they hit the chest then the arms going into a L and then stack the arms on top of each other.
