I'm Indian- im guessing by your description of the other dish that it's Chicken Keema - keema is usually lamb or beef so that's interesting. Try Chicken Vindaloo, saag paneer or Chole/channa masala. Have you had biryani?

Beef is only consumed widely in the southern part of India and we eat mutton that is older sheep and not lamb particularly. So minced or keema of mutton and chicken are what we generally consume here in India. And this dish is actually called keema matar. I'm not sure what dishes the Indian restaurants there serve but I've seen enough videos to guess that butter chicken, samosa, mango lassi, naan, chana masala, chicken vindaloo, saag paneer i.e. palak paneer, chicken tikka masala (not an Indian dish btw), biriyani, tandoori are most famous and sought for. There are better Indian dishes than these. Honestly as an Indian we are not crazy over butter chicken, it's just too sweet for our palate.

Chicken tikka masala and naan is North Indian cuisine. India is a diverse country so you'd be surprised about the diversity of the food in different states as well. You should try Northeast Indian food if authentic ones are available over there too!

We love Indian food - family’s standard order is pakora, chicken tikka masala, shrimp saag and garlic naan. Yum!!!! ❤
I love the pakoras (?), they’re like fried fritters that can have chickpeas, veggies, and even paneer. especially with the mint or tamarind chutney. So good.
