Its so foreign to me hearing about people bellying out of a double leg. We dont wrestle in australia really and ive only done jits. Wish we did highschool and university folkstyle though.
Last move is related to a "suloev stretch", which is weird and rare but was actually hit twice in the same night in the UFC by zabit magomedsharipov and some other guy.
For the very first leg ride setup, why wouldnt you just keep them there for back points? sorry if this sounds like a stupid question I am still a beginner.
Yeah, I’m gonna make an updated version with some more details on better terms and get rid of some of the ones that don’t work at higher levels. You don’t see a lot of people from their base at a high-level. banana split and guillotine is very uncommon
The trick is, there is no "silver bullet". You have to be willing to put in a considerable amount of time and most coaches do not. Imagine how many takedowns we would stop if we practiced sprawling about 30 minutes a season and you will understand the leg riding counter "problem". And really advanced leg riders know how to score off your counters.
@@ironfaithwrestlingit's like he's leaving a bookmark in a book he's leaving the time stamp so he can find that again with out having to manually look for the technique in the video
Can you give me a little more detail about the scenario? Do they have your arm trapped? What do you have in and what way are they rolling left or right?
So the only guy to get a tech fall in the 1st period of the NCAAs, Mitch Clark of Ohio State was stalling when he scored 18-0 all but 5 points scored on the mat?
There is nothing easy about reversing GOOD leg riding. The only man to get a tech fall in the 1st period of the NCAA finals was Mitch Clark, 18-0. All but 5 points scored during leg riding. Ethan Lizak Tech falled the #3 in the country at the NCAAs 15-0. The problem is if you are going to be that good at it, it's almost like learning an entirely new position as it has virtually nothing in common with any of the traditional top game.
@@Leveer13 Leg riding is easy to reverse. Just because some people have had some success doesn't change this fact. Do you know how many dedicated leg riders are in the NCAA top 25 right now? Zero.

A single leg set up series would be cool, and I think help a lot of wrestlers.
We got something for single legs but it’s not specifically set ups only. Let me know if this is what you’re thinking

Wrestling is were it’s at!
Being dominant at all times and turning your back to defend so you can stand up is a really underused thing in bjj

Is it fine to throw in legs from base if you get weight on their hands or block their arm from defending your legs?

You would definitely try to get back points with the tilt and when they go to their belly you put the leg in
@@ironfaithwrestling thank you

The second half of this video was very good. I agree with you that some of the moves earlier in the video won't work against good opponents.

I swear they're trying to make leg riding popular because it's easy to reverse.
If you get caught throwing that leg in, you're giving up 2.
👀 I did create a leg counter instructional too
