I wish they would have done more in this sound. I really enjoyed where they went after this but the punishing drums, the chunky tone and the dark atmosphere really did it for me. This was on repeat for me a lot when it came out.

And that SNARE TONE though at 15:00 😱 they don't make properly mixed death metal like they used to man. Is the quality objectively kind of bad? Yes technically , but sound design/tones have the proper vision and context.
Newer stuff sounds like fake digital squashed shit where you can't feel the instrumental subtleties
