I purchsed second hand beogram 1700 some 10 years ago with damaged counter weight and now I do not expect to replace it with any . It has acting very quick stabilization of revolutions light arm with pickup, is extremly well suspended and automation works without issues. Sounds in my system like studio class. in 2013 I was not expecting so much.
It was very solid performer for me... I liked the simplicity and clarity. It has no moved on to a new home, but I really enjoyed while I had it... one issue that I did have was an occasional feed back that I suspect was some heavy bass and the external phono pre amp I was using. With the internal phono on my other receivers, no problems.
