this was such a good mad depection of a BBC attitude towards scotland up to the seventies and eighties. Its really well observed. I know these guys made their break in the edinburgh festival so they obviously have loads of scottish friends. And its pretty porocial but i really appreciate what they are lampooining. it doesnt have a huge audience but its really fucking exactly and perfectly done.
Is it just me or is the writing to this show top tier? This little rant about Scotland seems to be one of the most eloquently stated I've ever heard. It's quite poetic.
This totally happened to me when the car rental agency wouldn't let me take the car back to safety as I was under 21.. except the mother of three looked up and said, "lookin for bizness luv!?"
@@nickmazonowicz511 I think you might be mistaken with another TV show. Dark Place is a "fake" tv show that released in 2004. Maybe you're thinking about the Twilight Zone?
@@oldking8276 it was original aired in the 80s. Growing up in Peru I learned english watching it late at night. Unfortunately that cemented a speech pattern heavily influenced by Sanchez - whom me and my brothers all wanted to be.
A 16 year old mother of three vomiting in an open sewer.
Garth really is a weaver of words the way he brought Sauchiehall street to life.
18 years later and still love it
A shatter of glass. A round of applause.
Thats great stuff!
I could watch this all day. Garth Marenghi = amazing
Been scared to visit scotland ever since.but if i ever go i will take my shortbread as a peace offering.

Damn you Dagless! Scotland rules!
Clearly you have never been.
I like that his flight got stranded but his car phone couldn’t get signal due to the hills.
The only thing worst than New Jersey is Detroit
hey that hurts when u say that lol

Kinda reminds me of Hollywood, except it's mostly just meth heads standing on street corners shouting obscenities at random people walking by.
britishers...
I love the implication that this was the episode that got Dark Place cancelled because of Garth's bigotry against the Scottish lol
"it looked bad. It looked like I was going to have to spend the night in Glasgow".
"Jeeesus Christ" 😂
My aunt lives in Scotland. She says it’s quite nice.
well, she's wrong.

How you feel about New Jersey is how the rest of the country feels about New York.

It almost sounds like Todd's breaking character to interject at the end. "Hey, man, ease up a bit."

It is but it's also a bit "went to Cambridge, got a job at Channel 4 before you're 25, writing punch down humour about places that aren't London."

yes, it's just you. You're the only person who likes the writing on this show, that produced this clip that has over 88,000 views.

How I feel about Hollywood, most people don't know that it's actually pretty ghetto, and not the good kind of ghetto.
I'm from New Jersey. That's kinda how I feel about New Jersey... well, the shore anyway.
"I'd seen them huddled in bus stations being loud before, but never in their natural habitat".😂
spooky
I was on a budget flight to Norway, but had to stop in Glasgow.
It was so hilly up there you can barely get any signal on your carphone.
I appreciate the reach to get a mobile signal joke into a fictional show supposedly produced in the 1980s
Why is it Glasgow Prestwick? Prestwick is nowhere near Glasgow it's 32 miles away in Ayrshire . 😂😂
I want to visit Scotland

I used to love this show back in the eighties and I never thought it was racist then. Why do PC SJW Nazis want to censor this?
In the 80's? Is that so...
@@oldking8276 Yeah, I watched this in the eighties and it never caused me to hate scotchmen so why did they ban it?
