People can be punished for having a "hacked" pokemon even if they aquired it by trading... which is a legitimate and encouraged function of the game.
This basically tells players that they shouldn't trade with eachother which essentially goes against one of the core elements of the game.
You keep comparing to cards, which have monetary value.
Pokemon do NOT have monetary value... the comparison is nonsensical

Im not sure of i really understand the point youre trying to make here.
Yes, i do not have a problem with trading, but obviously you should be stil punished when youre traded pokemon was actually hacked, as it is stil not tournament legal.
I do not think that just the action of creating a illegal pokemon is wrong, i also think its wrong using an illegal pokemon in a official tournament, even when you werent aware that it was cheated.
My main point isnt that cards are a good comparison because they have monetary value, heck, ive seen a bunch of faked cards that would be worthless even if they would be real cards.
I could also argue that pokemon dont have a monetary value, but a time value which is the time that is needed to aquire them, though thats not really a point im trying to make here.
I used cards as a comparison as it is something that im familiar with, and there have also been similar movements in tcgs to tolerate cheating, so it made a good comparison.
