    Kudos! I've taught kids fly tying too. Great to get the next generation involved as only the users conserve our wild places. Best, Bill

    I’ve used those tweezers for years. I’ve had to buy them again because the GF thought mine were hers!

    Cool tip.I think sometimes we get blinded by convention.You do it this way, because it’s always been done that way.I have 4 different types of hackle pliers,and I don’t like any of them.Mostly use my fingers,then swear when I drop it just when I’m about to tie off.$6 for a pair of tweezers?I paid $98 for a high end set of pliers and threw them at the wall the first time I tried them(haven’t touched them since)All in on this idea.

      its funny how we stick to traditions, when sometimes something easier is under our nose.

    How do you hang on when you want to secure the hackle?

    • @Ivegotbugsflyfishing
      @Ivegotbugsflyfishing  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      you have to actually hold it in your hand and use your other hand to secure your thread. Its a bit tricky at first on some flies, but i really like they way i use these now.
