  • Hey students, in this tutorials I have solved the part 3 of this question once again in much easier way using AA similarity criterion. You can still refer to following video to watch first 2 parts of this question. Though, it does include the 3rd part as well but now you have option to solve it in either way.
Example 8: In Fig. 6.33, CM and RN are respectively the medians of ∆ ABC and ∆ PQR. If ∆ ABC ~ ∆ PQR, prove that :
    (i) ∆ AMC ~ ∆ PNR
    (ii) CM/RN = AB/PQ
    (iii) ∆ CMB ~ ∆ RNQ
In this tutorial, you will find the explanation of the following:
Example: 8 (Another solution of part 3)

Sir, triangle ABC me CM median h toh angle MCB= angle MCA nhi ho skta kya...
Similarly, angle NRQ= angle NRP ho jayega
Or, angle C = angle R hai hi
Then, angle MCB = angle NRQ ho jayega
Phir, triangle CMB similar triangle RNQ ho jaayega.
Aisa ho skta h sir plz bata dijiye

No. Median is not the angle bisector. It bisects the side. So these angles may not be equal. Try making different triangles with different lengths and draw medians. Either it will be quite obvious visually that medians are not angle bisectors or you can use protractor to check it. Let me know if you still have any doubt.

You need not worry about it. This is a very common problem among students. That is why I have put huge effort in making detailed conceptual videos. I would suggest you to have patience and watch especially the conceptual videos that I have created for every topic of every chapter. Go to www.mathemafia.com and start watching the TH-cam playlists that I have embedded for class 9. Let me know after studying the chapter 1. In case you face any issue, I will try to respond. Good luck!!!
