    Thank you for this video. I just bought one of these units at the end of April 2024 with all the updates/upgrades. I would have hands-down ordered the Active 2.0, but I just couldn't get past or over the fact that the pump head was completely exposed and didn't have a protection or cage around it. I have no plans to wall mount any P/W. I was so disappointed in having to purchase outdated technology. In the future, I would hope this is looked at. The VE52 (CAT, SIMONIZ PLATINUM - same P/W) was the only P/W offering protection for the pump head. Going forward, if the Active 2.3 proves itself and bugs worked out, I'll grab one of those, but I will modify that frame to protect that pump head (which is key for my money spent) if you haven't come up with an optional pump head cage or sheet metal kit. A wheeled mobile frame option would be great too. My key takeaway from your videos is that Uberflex-type hoses and alike, can = surges on all these 5-piston pumps. To avoid issues use steel wire braided P/W hoses. Again, thank you for these helpful video James.

    I had the surging issue crop up on my unit (purchased new from Active in Oct 2021), and after trying the troubleshooting tips on here and contacting customer service, they replaced my pressure washer no issues.
    Thank you!

    I can assume a 15mm to 3/8 on the outlet of the unit will allow for additional hoses and sprayers. I’m gonna buy one of your units from Canadian tire soon and I need quick connects my hands aren’t strong enough to ensure a tight seal

    More of a maintenance question, but when, and how often, should you run those pressure washer cleaners/conditioners through the unit? I know they usually say before long term storage, but what if you're using it regularly? Every time? Every 10 times? Or does it not need it at all?

    @active my unit stopped working today. The power is directly plugged into the same outlet I always use. The light is green yet the system doesn’t turn on when I press the power button.

    Just purchased the VE52 about a month ago and love it! No leaks or problems and very compact. I had a question though while washing or soaping the car should I turn off the pressure washer and if so can I leave the water running into the product as well or do I also need to turn the water hose as well? Thank you

    • @ACTIVEPRODUCTS
      @ACTIVEPRODUCTS  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the support! Technically most detailers will just leave their unit turned on since the pressure washer stops running once you let go of the gun trigger. There's no need to turn off both the pressure washer and the water source but at the end of the day, it's up to the user's preference.

    Good stuff. The most common problem i am seeing is with the pressure switch. Please make the part available or a how to repair it. I have the generation 1. The pump will not shut off at times. I have to depress the trigger 2-3 times to get it to shut down. Been meaning to take it apart and see if the pressure switch is sticking.

    I have the simoniz version of the active ve52, installed quick connects and replace the hose with a 30 feet Uber hose, using a short gun with original nozzles, no leaksv at all, pressure washer tilts after a few minutes of non stop working, 3 to 4 minutes cleaning patio stuff. What could be the problem? Pressure motor goes high and low rapidly. If I release the trigger, wait a few seconds motor stops, and it will start again after 3 to 4 minutes. Can somebody help me out? This pressure washer has no more that 30 minutes on it. Thanks.

    After we done using the unit, what’s the best way to push water out of the unit before putting it to storage?

    • @ACTIVEPRODUCTS
      @ACTIVEPRODUCTS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello there! your pressure washer manual should state how you can best winterize your pressure washer before storing. If you're just planning on purging after use, you can use an air compressor to blow water out from the inlet but if you don't have an air compressor you can just disconnect the water hose and gun and let the unit run for a few seconds.

    • @contidozack
      @contidozack 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ACTIVEPRODUCTS I have been unplugging the hoses and let the unit run 10-20 seconds to push out leftover water. The motor really rev up I am not sure if it will hurt it in the long term. Maybe I am already hurting it. On your video above when you test for power you said not to press the power button too long as it can damage the motor pump.

    • @ACTIVEPRODUCTS
      @ACTIVEPRODUCTS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, running the unit for that long without water running through can cause the pump to overwork. we recommend only 2-3 seconds to relieve pressurized water from the pump. There is no manual method to purge the water out fully. If you're storing for a long time without use, you might want to use a pump antifreeze (check your manual on how to do this) otherwise, using an air compressor or a canned air will be your best bet if its just for a short storage
