Some connections between the mvs. In Maison statute that Yoohyeon is front of is in chains, in Vision the statue is out of chains and wings open with Siyeon raising her fist. In Vision Dami puts up the Earth's protective shield and in Bon Voyage Gahyeon lowers it. Maison is "who will fight us for us, save us" - Vision is "we will fight, follow us."

It's always nice to see a new InSomnia in the making, so it'd be great to see you reacting to their older songs. You won't regret it, they have so many bangers. 'Reason' was released for their 6th anniversary, it's a song dedicated to their fans and the MV has references to many of their title tracks and their past. The song is amazing, but to have the right impact I'd suggest checking it out once you've watched all their title tracks and once you know a bit more about their history. They have 2 other anniversary/fan songs: 'Full Moon' (1-year anniversary) and 'Over The Sky' (2-year anniversary)
"Maison" is part 1 of the Apocalypse trilogy. Dreamcatcher are touching on a very important subject here. Maison is French for "house" or rather "home", and they are singing about everyone's home, which is our planet. Previously they talked about online hate, now they are tackling an issue that impacts the whole planet and therefore everyone. Climate change is going to affect all of us, and it is already affecting many people. Island Nations will disappear under the ocean ("Save my home in the ocean"). Ice melts in the arctic and displaces people ("Save my home in the polar"). Forests get decimated by corporate greed and habitats get destroyed ("Save my home in the jungle") and disappearing glaciers and snow packs result in even less water for deserts ("Save my home in the desert"). People have a natural tendency to ignore issues that seem to be in the future - but climate change is here, right now. We can't wait anymore, and it is good that Dreamcatcher use their platform to promote change: "Break your habit now!" Musically I really enjoy the song. Like in BEcause, the rock/metal vibe is dialed back a bit, but it is still there and highly distorted. Although the more I listen to it, the more Rock I hear. I especially like how the pre-chorus and chorus seems to appear out of nowhere, the chord progression in the bridge, and the epic end part. The bass line is crazy as well. LEEZ and Ollounder (their producers) have done it again, and the members are just brilliant. Respect! "Vision" is part 2 of the Apocalypse trilogy. I believe they are showing us the perspective from the future in this series, showing us how the earth looks like when we keep acting like we do. While "Maison" was talking about the destruction of the environment, here they seem to be talking about the destruction due to war. I don't know if that was the idea from the beginning, but Putin's aggression definitely played a role here. In one set they even dance in front of what looks sort of like a huge trident, which is the coat of arms of Ukraine (could be a coincidence though, or this is me seeing things). It could be about North Korea as well after all. It is easy to see how the conflict in Ukraine could result in global destruction. It's just a push of a button away. Note that Dami presses a launch button, but it's not for nukes. It's for spreading their message, their vision. Peace. To be heard all around the world. The song is also a call for action, to stand together against aggressors and those who are destroying the planet out of greed. There is not much difference between someone leading an army or a corporation, if the result is destruction. Still, Dami said the intention is to resolve the problems in a peaceful way. So, what do we do? There is no easy answer. Dami has an outfit that shows that perfectly. One half is an innocent bridal dress, the other half is simply badass. What I know is that any aggressor only listens to very limited diplomacy, and they need to know that the good in the world is ready and willing to fight them if needed. Whoever the aggressor is, we are more than them. They need to know they will never succeed, the only option is peace. By the way, my interpretation could be completely wrong, any other theory is perfectly valid as well. Musically, it's heavier than Maison, and I feel it fits the subject matter very well. It sounds aggressive and heavy, but also soft and vulnerable. There is the duality again. And I love the fake keychange at the end of the chorus, the crazy bass and the guitar in the bridge. All in all this is a fantastic release!
yeah you got it! theres a dual message here that dreamcatcher is presenting: one, that war between humans has caused unneccesary grief to not just the victims but also the planet and everyone around them; but also two, they use military imagery and give us a call to action, follow and march and reload on the true enemies. the true enemies being the people who start these wars to big corporations that ruin the earth (rams head business man in maison). i believe the chained goddess who is freed in this mv is nike the greek goddess of victory. So they are promising to deliver us to victory and take back the earth
To my knowledge Vision isn’t anti-war, per se, but war definitely ties into the issue-as does capitalism, like they suggested in Maison. Remember that Maison, Vision, and Bon Voyage are a trilogy, so they ALL carry the central theme of environmentalism, but in a progressive storyline. In Maison they were asking for someone to save the planet; in Vision they realize they have to become the leaders they were looking for. And in Bon Voyage, they realize that the only way to save the planet is for the human race to leave and give it time to heal. It’s a love letter to Earth, but also a break-up song. You should absolutely react to the albums for these tracks! The b-sides are where Dreamcatcher really flexes their versatility, and Apocalypse: Save Us is quite special. It’s their second full album, and each member got a solo track! So checking those out is a great way to get more familiar with each member’s face, voice, and unique style.
The earth trilogy was Maison, Vision, and Bon Voyage. An ode to Mother Nature and raising awareness of the damage we do in the environment ❤ queens indeed
Thanks for reacting To DC ... Actually Maison gave DC their first and second win... React also to the EP from where both of those songs are included...the b sides are fire also
4 people do the slide on the vision, Gahyeon does it in the middle of both the choruses, JiU does it at the end of the first chorus, SuA does it at the end of the second chorus and Siyeon does it at the end with a vibrato. Siyeon and Dami are insanely versatile with Dami's raps being so varied and Siyeon killing every genre. As for the ones you mention less, JiU has a delicate sweet voice (leader, lead dancer and lead vocal), SuA is a jack of all trades so she does a bunch of different stuff and its hard to point her out in a way that's uniform across videos except that other than saying she has long dark hair 99% of the time (prominent sharp nose, main dancer, raps sometimes, short, usually the centre in dance breaks) Gahyeon will usually be the one with more closeups since she has insane facial acting skills (maknae, has a cat like smile, lead rapper with rap parts in scream, boca and piri) and Handong has the deepest smoothest singing voice and is usually on the verses (vocalist, if you see 2 Yoohyeons, the one with the bigger eyes is Handong, even their own mom's mix them up).
14:03 "If Valorant does not use this song in their next tournament!!!", we appreciate a man of culture. Maison turned me into a fan of them and they were one of the k-pop groups I started to listen to and got me into k-pop as a whole. I don't regret any second of it already. A new fan of them since last year
Man, I became an InSomnia ~4 months before Maison, and now, instead of Dystopia trilogy, people are reacting to Apocalypse trilogy as their first few songs. Feels like a long time but is was only 1 1/2 years.
Thank you for the Dreamcatcher reaction. I want to see your reaction to Dreamcatcher's 1st studio album, Tree of Language (Title: Scream). If you haven't heard this album yet. This album is very good.
Regarding your question about going back, yes I’d love to see you react to previous releases of Dreamcatcher (and mamamoo and red velvet!!!) many insomnias know that morse code is used to transcript the numbers into MAISON. little they know, each of the numbers plotted to each pollutant. red level pointed by indicator, and if we examine each pollutant, the one which makes it red level is NO2 a.k.a nitrogen dioxide. nitrogen dioxide is a brown colored gas and we can see what color scheme used the most in MAISON? yes. - morse code - environmental chemistry - basic knowledge in arts for colors all combined
