    The PT-01 scratch works fine stock. Besides start stop I only added stuff because I like to tinker. I hate to think some people may not get involved in portablism because they cant afford all the Jesse dean stuff.

      Can’t afford a 69$ fader LMAO. But for realz i thought ill get an inexpensive portable...mod after mod later IM ALMOST 1000$ deep into a RELOOP SPIN. WTF! 😂.,

      Yea I agree, the pt01 is fine straight out the box, only added a platter stabilizer.

      @@auraglasswerks4900 it pretty cool if you have the cash to drop. some people may not be able to afford another 65 after dropping 140. Not everyone has the same expendable income. I'd hate for them to be turned off because they think it has to be expensive. My pt-01s is pretty good I only spent an extra 80.

    Good comparison but nothing about styluses? Omni is the best option if you want to have a real cartridge not a plastic one, also for listening 12” and recording them.

    I have a Pto1 scratch which I modded the hell out of and the Omni (IMO) is the best value if you don’t want to take apart PTO1 and put in a new fader, new tone arm, bluetooth, Start/Stop, buy a $100 platter, and more stuff (unless you like to mod and spend far more on a portable belt driven table than a freaking 1200-lol). I am getting to be an old lady and modding is fun but still a pain. I personally think for the price the Omni is the clear winner but that is just my opinion. I don’t think the original Numark that you called ‘ghetto’ is a bad because if it weren’t for that version (plus Vestax) -there really wouldn’t be too much of a portable scratch scene. I am in Detroit and there really isn’t a large portable scene here but love to see all the cool shite people are doing... I hope to see what you guys think of the new Gakken vinyl cutter! Cheers!

    • @monsterrobot
      @monsterrobot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      it's a 45 adaptor and stabilzer weight, it keeps the record stable, reducing needle skips and for "large hole" 7" records there is a rubber seal around the edge that makes the record more stable. a not essential but pretty useful accessory, there's a bunch of different ones out there these are the syd def jam adapters which we highly recommend, can purchase here syd-def-jam.myshopify.com/

    Hi, I am looking for a portable turntable, I don’t do scratching. However I do need the improved sound quality that you get with the new Mark, the only one I listen to, compare to some of the rubbish suitcase players. I also need to be able to use it on batteries. I buy and sell records record fairs, and having something to demonstrate with would be great. Which of the three would be best for that sort of thing? I’m in the UK if that makes any difference. I don’t think the model number of the Omni was stated in the video, I may have missed it.

      don't think so it powers off usb-c but there's no usb-record option like the reloop afaik, you can record off the line out tho, there maybe be an option with the dvs, but would depend on the individual software which is still fairly limited atm (iOS and maybe PC, no mac or android at this point)
