Hi guys, If you haven't bought the PCM yet don't, you're having classic symptoms of water in the fuel. Ask me how I know. I would syphon the gas tank, fill it with good fuel and add methol hydrate to it to get the rest of the water. You guys crack me up, love your channel. Have fun with the new boat.
I concur. As if being recovered from underwater wasn't an obvious clue, the possibility of draining it all out first try, on a boat especially, is next to 0%. If you have reasonable access to the tank and can either remove it or gain access to inside (maybe by removing the pump assembly), drain it, swab it dry with pig mats and paper towels, ventilate until you're certain it's dry, then fill er up and try again! Oh, and that dielectric grease was a bad move.
I think you're right on the money. If the owners tried to start it prior to replacing the fuel in the tank, all the water that was on the bottom prior would have been pumped into the filter, the fuel rail, etc. Probably never started because of the bad contacts on the wiring harness. Once the Pecks got it started, the residual water gets pushed back into the return line, then into the tank. So it runs fine but then they shut it off, it sits for a few hours, and the remaining water settles in the tank again, it starts fine because the fuel rail had good fuel, but then it runs horrible at the next start. They need to let it sit for 24 hours and draw the water off the bottom of the tank.
How exciting!! My 4yo and I love this channel. She insists on watching the "PeckBrother boat" episode every night. I've probably watched the recovery episode 100 times now.
No, being on the water is a life force. I would like to have all the boats I had back . I sold them to feed my family and we had moved over a hundred miles from a lake .
Only Peck Brothers can make an AG1 ad and make it a hoot. LOL. As per the boat, drain all fluids, flush engine a few times, pull all wiring and clean all connections. 😊😊😊😊
Not sure if you replaced every fluid possible?!?! That’s where I would start. It’s running like water in the fuel. Great one minute and flat and rumbling the next. Once you drop it in gear that extra load is just enough for it to fall on it’s face just as it is. Plus a good boat is the one that isn’t your problem. Good luck, I have all confidence that the three of you will get it figured out!🇺🇸🙏
Step 1 would be removing all the dielectric grease. That's the wrong application for it. Step 2 would be replacing all fluids. Water gets in everything. The AG1 ad was hilarious! Cya Sunday!
Should have drained all the fluids (including the fuel tank). Any and all hydraulic fluids especially. Water in those lines will cause real problems a year from now
Man your editing skills and camera work is on point. Like you’re right at professional level. By the way it was awesome getting to meet the 3 of you at the jeep invasion.
You guys are awesome. I don't understand the lack of subscribers you should be at 250K by now. Is it because you only have one video a week? Not sure but I look forward to seeing you guys every week.
As soon as Caleb took a swig of the pickle juice Brady should've switched it with the AG1 🤣 No way Caleb was going back for that. Should've seen how many times you could've tricked him between the hotdog juice and pickle juice. Pure deans! Love the channel and your content. Plus the close family ties you guys and your whole family show is top notch.
Good morning sunshines! How awesome a mid week video! Yeah! Plus Dad too! Wow we hit the jackpot! Lol! Great video guys! Much love and respect from Henderson Ga USA
Awesome video, Congratulations on the new boat fella’s !!! The sisters boyfriend seems like he fits right in with you guys too..I bet it’s a laugh riot when your whole family is together, would love to be a fly on the wall !!!!
My buddies and I bought a boat a year ago. Three trips and every one goes like yours. Spend weeks fixing it, runs great, get there and it barely runs. First trip was fuel and spark issues, last trip was a head gasket. You'll never catch a break. At least our radio works lol
You know as I was watching this video.I had a flash back to my childhood and I thought I saw Larry, Mo and Joe in a boat back to shore!!! In case you don't know how that was a ask your Dad 😮😮😊😊!!!lol I really enjoy your videos really!!!
I cant believe you flippin Deans didn't drain the fuel tanks or tank. Thats a nice boat guy's, i can see you guy's havin a lot of fun on it with your family's. Thanks for the video can't wait for Sundays MINI WRECKER YES?
the thing with those Cats is you should look into the replumb kit, it sends water to the exhaust before the thermostat . the old way didnt send water till the thermostat was open and they are notorious for cracked exhaust manifolds... super hard to get and very pricey if you find them
Look into adding fuel water separator to fuel line before the motor. Motor might have one on it too. Check and drain. Check plugs again after running it. Really common issue with our coastal outboards with ethanol fuel.
First of all-Boyfriends are fair game 🤙Got to kind of wonder about a guy that took a ride ( willing I hope) with you four. You guys put a smile on my face and heart. Would probably have been better if dad was there for adult supervision😜but then again he might be the craziest of the bunch. Thank you
AG1 speaks for itself and the pickle juice is tart but is a great electrolyte. The hotdog juice isn't the beverage of choice for most folks but add some flour and thicken on a fry pan for a tasty gravy. Good you didn't use any of that bilge water for the taste experiment.
Put a tablespoon of A1G in each cell of the battery and try again. Make SURE you shake the boat up real good though. Hotdog water will work in a pinch!
Hilarious. Your channel is awesome. I agree don’t buy a pcm there generally robust and sealed. Agree with the comments would also say fuel and cap and rotor there known for cracks in them even new ones.
Okay boys, ya finally beat me down and I ordered the AG1 package. As for the boat... Order the wiring harness and ECM. You do not want to have the boat die with wives and babies aboard!
Oops, water and electronics don’t usually work well together. Looks like a new ECU may be on the horizon. CONGRATS on the new (to you) boat . . . I think.
You absoulutly need to pull up the floor cover and pull that fuel tank out. Very simple to do I’ve done it to every Malibu I’ve had and there’s always water in it. I had this same issue with a water flooded Malibu I had.
What about lake sediment in the fuel tank? I had a very similar situation with my old Cherokee. Tank was rusted real bad, which I didn't realize. It would start and idle just fine because the sediment would drop away from the screen on the pickup. Once I get to full power it would suck up enough sediment to choke out the fuel and it would die. It would restart again once the sediment dropped away from the screen.
its something electrical, Ive had coils that do that, once they warmup (power to them) then start dying off. you have an internal short somewhere..the longer it has power the more the resistance grows.... IR camera and see whats electric and gets hot, could be the IG module, component in the distributor. Ive seen alternator internally short and cause dirty signal for the crank sensor... just some things to check
I bought a boat that sat for years. Had water in the fuel had to change fuel 3 different times before all the water was out would run perfect when sitting but the minute the gas got shaken up would run like shit or not at all
Boys boys .. sunday man i was checking my phone every five minutes for a dean of a peck brothers video about the wrecker ! But hey nice boat ! Engine mods please !
You boys need to get that motor nice n hot for an hour or so n you will be amazed how well it can come out of it.....cook the moisture out of it....❤️🇺🇲
Its open loop vs. closed loop. When the boat first starts its in open loop - running off of preset parameters. Once it starts to idle down it tries to go into a closed loop - running off of sensor data. You likely have a bad sensor or connection to that sensor. PCM is also still a possibility.
I want to hear the yodel. I thought I was the only one left. If I could just use my skills for good instead of evil. I LOVE to annoy my friends, especially in parking garages.
It's a boat, if it doesn't sink the cost of owning it will. Best to keep making boat videos to pay for it. We'll keep watching for the secondhand fun:)
Just FYI the oil and the fuel both got drained and changed before we bought it. We didn’t cover that in the video😂
I still think you have water in your fuel. A little bit more than the right amount.
It's acting like it still has water in the system... hey look in the distributor for water and or condensation.
Just because it was drained, it doesn’t mean you don’t have water in the fuel still.
ive been binging these videos for three days. I have two brothers but we are nothing like this wit each other lol
Cold start makes the engine sound like that

4:29 Easily the best sponsor advertisement skit I’ve seen on TH-cam
Yeah these guys and their giggles get me every time!!!!!
😂😂😂 that burn from dad was wicked 😂😂😂 the 3 of you make 1 good man 😂😂😂
Old man's kinda savage for that one 😂
How exciting!! My 4yo and I love this channel. She insists on watching the "PeckBrother boat" episode every night. I've probably watched the recovery episode 100 times now.
2 best days of owning a boat - the day you buy it and the day you sell it
And every day In between you put money into it
Said like a person that has never had a boat.

@@Quackerstacker1973you? Every person I talk to that owns a boat say this.
The third day is buying another one
I would say the fuel has water in it for sure.Drain the tank fill it and dump a bunch of methol hydrate in it.
Best AG1 sponsor video I've seen🤣
Only Peck Brothers can make an AG1 ad and make it a hoot. LOL. As per the boat, drain all fluids, flush engine a few times, pull all wiring and clean all connections. 😊😊😊😊
I was rolling the entire time watching this

You guys crack me up you just made my morning
Check the crank and cam sensors if it has them. They are notorious for intermittent ignition issues.
good compression now spark and then fuel. Bet there is water in the fuel
You guys are amazing!! You’re willing to take on ANYTHING with a MOTOR! 😅
We need a video of extreme sports. That was amazing!
You’ll figure it out. Keep the faith!

The good part of needing a ecm you should be able to buy one from before cats were required
Impeccable drone camera work on the way to test the boat out. Really got a sense of the area you live in and lake reservoir-based area!
Thanks brother 😁😁🔥
Y'all sure keep me laughing throughout your videos. Love watching your channel !!!!

We used CLR on all the crusty terminals and it worked good
Good idea for the work truck, get a peck brothers custom wrap, then get on for the boat to match, epic combo
“You might need another paddle” should be a shirt. 😂

I see yalls video and I just hit the like button then sit back and watch
Distributor cap. Any moisture in there and it will arc. Start with the simple stuff.
I can't believe the hammer didn't fix it haha.
Same, especially since they had an actual hammer. I normally use my adjustable wrench as a hammer and it fixes just about everything.
Another hilarious video. Water in fuel or IAC valve is my guess. Get rid of the di-electric grease!
AG1 speaks for itself and the pickle juice is tart but is a great electrolyte. The hotdog juice isn't the beverage of choice for most folks but add some flour and thicken on a fry pan for a tasty gravy. Good you didn't use any of that bilge water for the taste experiment.

(B.O.A.T = Bust Out Another Thousand) Good luck, boats that have been sunk are usually a nightmare.
Fab Rats and Merlin found a boat that was underwater for 30 years. Got it running and found the owners. So let's go boys. Call Merlin.
Merlin is a Wizard 🧙♂️
I'd also check fuel pressure. Pump connection maybe grounded by PCM still. But that's what id also check.
Oops, water and electronics don’t usually work well together. Looks like a new ECU may be on the horizon. CONGRATS on the new (to you) boat . . . I think.

My 318 small block was doing the exact thing and it was bad injectors. Could also be fuel filter
If you haven’t , drain the fuel and refuel with new fuel with additive
That was the first thing that was done before we bought it🙏🏼
@@PeckBrothers good I figured, hopefully you guys get this thing figured out I know you will 👌
@@PeckBrothers So I assume the oil was checked on that engine as well correct ? not milky ?
Haha! Love the videos guys! Keep it up! 💯
If this dang boat gets running before Brady’s jeep I’m gonna scream!!
That was the first time I willingly sat thru the AG1 sponsorship segment.

Ok ya messed up my Sunday morning pancakes with no video , but i’ll let it slide a little bit , because ya put one out today 😂😂
I would guess you changed the trans gear lube? The impeller has chunks out of it you will need to find the chunks too.
Did you know that the word boat is actually an acronym? It stands for Bust Out Another Thousand!!😅😅😅😅
BOAT... Bust out another thousand!
Y'all have lots of room for big bass boxes under the tanning deck . That's where I put them in my Mariah, it gave you a massage when you layed on it.
