The more decks Luca releases wiping the floor with the different variants of red aggro, the closer we get to actually seeing some diversity. This is clearly a social service
Because it’s a fast easy deck to use that is known to win games. This video proves that Mono Red Aggro is nothing if you have a decent amount of one drop removal to take care of it
First match was a fever dream. I almost even forgot we were in standard. Then second match starts with "maybe too slow for red aggro" and it was downhill from there lmao.
Partially an arena economy problem, just look at lvd's manabase being almost all rare lands compared to red burn just needing 20 mountains. Until something about manabases changes there just isn't going to be deck variety in bo1
19:44 I'm not entirely sure, but you should have a safe window to tap Kona if you wait until the very last part of combat phase. Because of how priority works. Note: this only applies to tapping as part of the cost for a mana ability and not, for example, to crewing and such because those involve the stack and opponent can do something in response.
Although, to be fair, that doesn't really matter since you still need to make the first move, and if opponent has removal and is smart enough they could still remove Kona while it's untapped. But there could be edge cases where knowing this actually makes the difference
I like how this deck tries to be cool, instead of just cheating a Discovery Dino, Valgavoth, Portal to Phyrexia, the draw and gain 3 dino, etc and basically winning on the spot turn 4
Valgavoth is completely uncastable, so I think you basically just lose to Azorius control. This version can eat some counterspells and removal on Kona and Rip with the hope of hard-casting a Dragonhawk or Etali in the mid- to late-game, which can pretty easily turn the tide if they stick the landing
Hey magic, your game SUCKS. worst set ever. Do you even playtest this stuff? Stop designing for commander and fix standard. Red and black have both been ridiculously overpowered for way too long.

LegenVD loves Dragonhawk confirmed
Dragonhawker
Watching LVD dunk on Mono Red all day is my happy place.
5 from 6 games are against red aggro.
Healthy meta 🤢
gg LVD though. Very nice deck !
Red attracts the most new players, so wotc isn't going to change it

Bo1 is a weird lil' slice of Standard. other 'tubers aren't quite so well presented, but they play Bo3 which is less weird
Okg this dude totally rocks !!!!! Big timeeeee
The man the myth the legenvd does it again!
This is the weirdest video release time ever lol, but still LVD so gotta watch
LVD means insta click
Liking and commenting just for Luca.
Instant click when I saw the video on my homepage.
I love it ❤
Pretty nice to see red aggro scoop several times in a row!
LVD is the best MTG Arena creator!
6:57 had to go back and listen to this twice to make sure I wasn’t hearing what I thought I was hearing because I was distracted
Relic of Legends enables so much crazy goodness.
Smite and Torch all the way baby 😂
gorgeous
I could watch luca destroy these red burn decks all day lol
If Duskmourn standard Luca were a magic card, he would be definitely sans red
Luca the Goat!!!! Love any deck that has Roxanne in it!! ❤🔥🤘

i thought they let legenvd go.

Wow those monored players are insanely bad. Main-phasing rage instead of waiting until the damage step to check for the smite pause is mega yikes.
I just play in full control mode. People trying to read pauses gives me those free wins i crave haha

I prefer to use kona for valgavoth and tyrant
this deck is too fair for me I would play Valgavoth, Terror Eater to have fun

@@Aburaishi I think about a sultai deck with reanimation spell and kona to work with valgavoth
@@francoistestard2407 For sure, Valgy is basically made for a reanimator-style deck. Absolutely a reasonable direction to go
Disappointing you need so many legends aka money to beat uncommon reds
first
plus cool deck
Second, and I'll play any deck that has Roxanne in it.
