First Nagaland online folktale story telling competition
Spreading wings to the untold Naga folklores
Naga Manu Production will be organising the first Nagaland online folktale story telling competition during the month of July, 2021. The competition aims to conserve and spread the message of preserving the traditional folklores being passed down from generation to generation.
With this tradition slowly fading, we are losing the good old stories of our forefathers. This competition is being organised with the view to preserve and present the folklores as oral documents for the future generations.
FREE ENTRY
Video submission starts from July 5 onwards. Videos will be uploaded on Naga Manu Production (TH-cam) on first come first basis.
Last date of video submission: July 25
Result declaration: August 8
How can I participate?
Participants can mail their videos to [e-mail] or WhatsApp document to 9916580774. The story narration should also be submitted along with name, age, contact and tribe.
Awards for the competition are
First prize 6k sponsored by Kuvelu Tetseo (Tetseo Sisters)
Second prize 4k sponsored by Kuvelu Tetseo (Tetseo Sisters)
Youngest contestant 1k sponsored by NarohDecor
People's choice award: 1k
Judges choice award: 1k
Judging criteria are
*Presentation skills
*Relevance/Significance
*Creativity
*Factual and authenticity
*Moral of the story
Guidelines for the competition:
1) The story can be interpreted in any local language along with English subtitles.
2) Open to all inhabitants of Nagaland with no age limit.
3) The video length should not exceed 4 minutes. Audio clarity is a must with less background music.
4) The story should be based on Naga folktales.
5) There is no dress code but participants are encouraged to use their traditional attires.
