    40 hours on a ferry! Give me a private room and I'll be in heaven. Hopefully someday I'll be able to visit Japan and experience all the great ways to travel there.

    I think I would find it extremely cathartic to take this trip. The open water for nearly 40 hours and the room looks pretty comfy also

      Agreed. I was thinking if there was a ferry like this in the USA, I could have seen myself taking trip aboard it just to get away from everything during the craziness of 2020.

      @@jamesk370 absolutely. I have been working in a hospital for 15 years. As soon as I can I’m taking a month of and traveling. A boat out on the ocean away from people sounds like a plan lol

    I really enjoy your videos. The ferries in the United States are not like this. The only thing I can compare to the Japanese ferries are cruise ships in the United States. Seeing your videos makes me want to visit Japan more and more

      There's worse songs thst could be heard from the other ship. Like the song that was being played as the Titanic was sinking.

      most of us ( at least from western countries) have all done the backpackers / hostel thing in the past so sharing a room with others is no biggie even as a female I've shared rooms with guys too ..biggest worry I had in there was not personal safety but ppl stealing stuff but never had that happen .. I'm 43 now would still do shared room if it was a lot cheaper mind u with covid these days many places don't have alot of ppl going there so be pretty quiet .. as long as they didn't snore 😴😴

    It amazes me how tug boats pull ferries and ships so much larger than themselves, not forgetting the the little tug trucks that move aeroplanes around in airports.
    I remember going on a ferry between islands off the coast of Seattle. My ex mom in law was telling me about the ferries and how ‘huge’ they were & the crossing could get a bit rough 🤣 it was tiny compared to the ones I’m used to seeing crossing from the uk to France & the rest of Europe. I told her how choppy the sea could be there, she looked quite nauseous 😂
    A tip to crossing the English Channel, if it’s winter, storms predicted etc go under the sea. If it’s good weather go over it and fill your lungs with fresh air!
    Ferry only across to Ireland though 😀

    • @acmenipponair
      @acmenipponair 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, but you must remember, that the ship stays for several hours in Sendai too. so it's more 35h of travel time.
      The ferries are mostly used by trucks - because with this the truckers can travel a one day trip (the distance they would be allowed to travel in one working day) while they sleep.

  • @pandannep

    The editing is waaaay too clipped. I barely see one scene and read the captions before it cuts to the next scene. I constantly need to rewind, and it creates a disjointed viewing experience. I suggest spending more time on each scene and let people see what's happening in it. Also, I suggest using type-font which doesn't have such thick, black borders around the letters. It distracts from the rest of the scene.
