Hi! I have a question, I have an issue on creating carousel on linkedin. When I uploaded my pdf doc the slides don't go through until the end it stops on the 3rd page. Is there a fix to this??
I’ve created a two page carousel. With a drone photo I shot. Did the layout in illustrator where I can but up the pages to each other. I want to create one like a Burma-shave billboard campaign.
After 2 weeks of struggling, over 5 LinkedIn carousel DIY posts, and 1 YT video... I found this the best, most detailed how-to. Thank you! You're a lifesaver.
This has been absolutely plaguing me, thank you! Carousel posts that show up in a grid in Linked In look so gnarly...thank goodness there is a better way!
Glad I finally searched this! I had assumed I did not have the Carousel feature. Linked's Help Page says that they are 'rolling out' this feature to test markets & their instructions were totally different (thank yours) to upload on their website. Thank you!
@@ElevenLightsMedia Yes, they supposedly have an in-app carousel feature they are 'rolling out' in certain areas, but when I follow their instructions, I'm not seeing any carousel icon as they imply there is ... . Does this mean they haven't rolled it out in my area yet? 🤔Why isn't it there?
Hey I know this video was from few months ago but this actually inspired me to get more active on LinkedIn. Thinking of doing a carousel post there. Will credit you on my post later on :)
Thank you! I'm so pleased you got something out of it. Linkedin is a great platform! Highly recommend you jump on it and put your video teasers on there too :)
Thank you for this! I wanted to post more than 9 images but LinkedIn has that limit. Posting a carousel allows me to post more. So again, thank you thank you thank you
At the time of recording this you could only add 10 pages but I believe... if word on the street is correct, you can add up to 300 (don't recommend obvs.) I think to find a fatigue limit it's test and measure but it's a bit of just common sense too. I've seen some that have an extra 10 pages because they didn't just put all that info on one. It's click fatigue not reading fatigue in that case.
Great tutorial! I have a problem tho I want to create a carousel that slides automatically, it has dots below and slides automatically no need to click arrows do you know how can I implement this? thank you!!
Hi Sara, the only way I can think of to create this is to create a video that looks like a slideshow. You could do that in canva as well but you can't automatically make the carousel slide across unless it was a video to begin with. I hope that helps!
Thanks for the video. Is there a way to add some links in carousel post? I added a link on canva and it functioned even after I downloaded it as a pdf. However, when I posted it on linkedIn, it didn't work. Would you be able to guide on this?
This is helpful but there is another version of this that also works the same way... instead of a slide counter at the bottom you get X number of dots indicating pages. How do you use that option?
Hi Blessy, if you put an imagine into Canva with your brand colours then it will automatically recognise them. When you click the colour box at the top in the menu bar they will appear on the left. I hope that helps!
Instead of infographics with words like you demonstrate here, my client wants her event photos posted on LinkedIn with a swipeable (yeah, not a word :) slide/carousel tool, like Insta has. Is there any way to do this within the LinkedIn app, rather than upload each photo to Canva, export them out as a PDF, and then upload that to LinkedIn ...? Thanks!
I do the carousel posts, but can´t find a way to edit them on LinkedIn after posting, when I discover a failure. Wich happens ;)) Do you know if that is possible?
Great question Anette - you can't actually edit once they're posted on Linkedin as they are a PDF essentially. In order to edit you'd need to go back into Canva and redo the design there and then repost to Linkedin. Hope that helps!
@@ElevenLightsMedia Thanks ☺️ It would be great to be able to edit though. Just to change a slide so you won’t have to start all over and lose the engagement…..💡☺️
"For SOME reason carrousel posts are underutilized" Maybe because LinkedIn made the option completely impossible to find or use. TLDR: save the photos as a PDF (one on each sheet) and then upload them to LinkedIn as a document instead of as photos.
@@ElevenLightsMedia Thank YOU for your video! It's crazy how LinkedIN made this feature so obscure. Maybe they will improve it at some point so you can just upload pictures and choose a "carousel" option.
Why on Canva. Why not on Keynote? If the file ends up as a PDF what's the difference? No one offering these Canva demos is saying WHY use Canva. So we're asking now. Thanks.
Hi Frank, great question! Canva is really intuitive when it comes to design work and I'd argue that Keynote is not a design tool of choice - ie it's not as intuitive as Canva. That being said, you can absolutely use Keynote and export it as a PDF but if you want something aesthetic, Canva is a really good choice.
I'm not 100% sure I know what you mean. However, if you mean in a carousel style then you would just drop them into Canva and put one photo per slide and export as a PDF - that would work. If you're meaning a landscape image that has 3 photos then you would just need to see the regular image size LinkedIn allows and work with that to fit 3 photos on. I hope that helps!
Will you create a Linkedin carousel now you have seen how easy it is?

Thank you - a clear explanation. I'm learning how to use Taplio which apparently is good for scheduling Linkedin carousel posts.

Did not know this. This is epic. How many you think could be added in this way, and is there a fatigue limit you recommend?

You saved me! Making two or more picture posts in linked in looks awful.
Oh absolutely! So glad this helped you Gerardo :)
can you choose a different slide to be the cover or it always has to be the first one?
Unfortunately I don’t think so. The first slide will be your cover 🙏🏻

Not that I know of - I think if you were to have a link, it would be best placed in your copy. I'm glad the video helped you out though!
This is helpful but there is another version of this that also works the same way... instead of a slide counter at the bottom you get X number of dots indicating pages. How do you use that option?
That is definitely another great option! Plenty of ways to experiment with 😊
@@ElevenLightsMedia figured it out... By default it appears that way on mobile
@@Mightea you’re right, it does! 🙂
Pretty cool.. Is it possible to do this with videos?
Unfortunately not at this stage! I agree - would love if they included some video functionality.
How to find the apt colors for the carousel?
Hi Blessy, if you put an imagine into Canva with your brand colours then it will automatically recognise them. When you click the colour box at the top in the menu bar they will appear on the left. I hope that helps!
linkedin carousal post dimension on canva is 1200x1500
Yep, they both work 👏 Often times it's easy for people to repurpose content if it's just square which is why I went with the LinkedIn Post option.

Can we add links to a carousel post?
Hi there, you can put a link in the actual description of your post but the carousel itself isn't clickable with links 🙂 Hope that helps!
"For SOME reason carrousel posts are underutilized"
Maybe because LinkedIn made the option completely impossible to find or use.
TLDR: save the photos as a PDF (one on each sheet) and then upload them to LinkedIn as a document instead of as photos.
