This was meant to enrich the government of some sort. We're only being told hafe of what Biden signed. They shield it using teachers, police officers and firemen giving them probably 500 per month. Government officials can do write off against this new law and earn more than $2000 per month on top of their salary. SSI/SSDI we're just an excuse for the government to enrich themselves.

Again we all will get a raise when, that happens. This has to do with retirement benefits, SSI is a form of disability, unpaid into. SSDI is paid into but, it’s because, neither one has to do with retirement! People know that we don’t need you to tell us that, that’s easy to figure out by listening, and using your common sense sense, try it and learn. 0:15

How hard is it for people to understand that this is money that people have paid into Social Security over the years of ADDITIONAL working? Sure they have their Public Employment retirement (which they’ve also paid into) but now they’re also eligible to get some of what they’ve paid into Social Security. The “back pay” only goes back ONE year. So if they started collecting their reduced Social Security benefits 10 years ago, they’re still getting screwed for the other 9 years.
Y’all are jelly of people finally collecting what they’ve paid for? Don’t be, they’re still not getting it all.

@@bobjones9094 so you view retired transit bus drivers, mechanics and teachers who’ve worked 2 or 3 jobs as rich old farts? They’ve been penalized for decades for just trying to do better. It’s not a raise and they’re not even being made whole, the back pay only goes back 1 year. So if they started collecting their reduced SS earned benefits 10 years ago they’re still getting screwed for the other 9. They worked for it, earned it, so just who do you believe is entitled to it, if not them??

2%. How Communist. I might get the raise and the backpay because I had an account at the teacher's credit union because I was a special education teacher's aide and during that time I was also a coach in the same school district for a varsity high schoolbboys team. One of the other coaches who i coached with was molesting kids so I bailed (quit). When I filled out my SSI application, I didn't even write down that I was a coach and a teacher's aide for the school district because it was so embarrassing. I only told them how I was a custodian at a local business. Not to worry though, despite the school district hurriedly closing the teacher's union account I had and me not getting offered work from them any more because of the child molester, I have an attorney and he has all the information about all of that work.

I ask the question: How many of us are teachers, or work/worked for the police/sheriff? Those are the ones who will be getting the funds.. Why post this information? The last time I looked, it is not our work or past work status.

It’s just sad because those who get these benefits have no idea how hard it is to live on 1200 or less a month. They get two checks and my elderly mother can’t afford to pay her bills, it’s not that they get SS for paying in but instead of helping the poor it’s always the government or those who can buy food or have insurance that isn’t increased more then their cost of loving

And I guarantee they will get their retro pay before some of those who were approved months ago on ssi or ssdi and are still waiting and losing their homes etc… sad.. just so sad!

This will only benefit those people who were not getting Social Security because they were getting a pension. The lower income people on Social Security will always get forgotten about. That is the United States Government works. They know back in the 1930's that Social Security was designed to keep people in poverty. Secondly, they may run out of money in nine years or so.
