Really interesting learn about the different kinds of barges. Got two questions. 1) How many barges long can y'all go? 2) Any chances we could get a video on how to tie off different configurations? Blount County educated (between Maryville and Walland) here. Thanks for posting and enjoy the Smokies.
Thank you, and I hope you're enjoying being home in those beautiful Smokies. I really enjoyed the video with close-ups of the rigging, and your explanations of it and the barges. Nice!
Thanks Toby I enjoy you talking about the going on and how and why something or should be. Enjoy your time off up there in those beautiful mountains. May the weather treat your right, and you and your family are safe and well. Till hear from you again. BLISSING
Toby is there a torque requirement or do you tighten as much as you can for your wires. Since you retired last year are you now freelancing to the highest bidder or contracted to ACBL? Enjoy your time off and hopefully we will see your posts in 30 days and remember God Bless America we really need it in these days of trial and tribulation.
I decked for almost 10 years. When I was a green deckhand, I asked the mate how tight he wanted me to get the ratchet I was cranking. He said; "get it as tight as you can, then put three more turns on it".
