Hahaha thanks Rafal! Fishpal is the app to go on mate :D perfect for finding waters for salmon and sea trout! Allows you to fish member waters when rods have been handed in! Check it out :D look for the River Annan!
Hi Harry Nice vid-today it is raining so i am going to catch up on your next 9 vids. This will make it a good start to the day. Keep safe Micky🙃🙃🙃 sorry i have got you doing handstands.
Aye it can be a tough one especially with the fish holding so close to the estuary! Wizzed it past some experienced guys and they’re letting me have the last one as a sea trout, have to admit I’m claiming it !😉 regardless of what was on the bank smashing spot, smashing fish and smashing day out :D thank you so much for watching matey!
Sea trout. They're the same species but the females sometimes go to sea to feed and produce eggs then come back and breed with native make browns any of who's offspring can do the same
Learnt a lot in this video! However, I’m adamant that some trout have a gene that sends them to sea. I know often it’s because of lack of food and as such they move out to sea, but the whole thing fascinates me. With both Salmon and Sea Trout there’s still so many questions and would not be surprised if we end up finding out something that was far from expected! Thanks for watching mate :D
@@japanesefishingadventures I wasn't very clear above- sea trout and brown trout are the same fish, just some of the females head to sea to fatten and make eggs and come back and breed with the brown trout which produces all brown trout some of which will choose to go to sea but they are one and the same species- all of the trout you caught were sea trout in your video, just at slightly different stages of losing the yellow and brown and becoming silver. There are trout that turn silver and migrate to lochs then back to rivers too, these look like sea trout but never go to sea. It's complicated but they're all the same species. In America rainbows do the same and the sea version is steelhead.
Look up Rio Grande argentina- sea trout. It was stocked with brown trout and is fairly barren, they went to sea in huge numbers and feed unmolested and return at an average of 15lb! Same trout as we have but better sea feeding. I'd love to go and fish it. You can watch videos of folk doing so on here
Thanks for your comment Josh and thank you for watching! 🙏 that first fish without doubt is a brown! But the last fish I cast it across a few experienced anglers (pardon the pun) and they are confident it’s a sea trout! Good enough for me so I’ll take it 😀 tight lines fella! 🐟
Keep smiling Harry, The last fish is right colour for a sea trout. Micky
Thanks Micky you bloody legend! Hope you’re keeping well fella 🤙🏻

Hey dude. Great video. I wanna get up to Scotland on the Salmon on lures and fly.
Need to find some good day ticket or free stretches. 👍🏻
Aye mate plenty of places to go and you can’t go wrong with any on the east coast! Head on to fishpal and the world is your oyster :D
Awesome video, just starting this type of fishing this year and wonder what's best lb or mono or braid to use for spinning?
Braid anything 30ib-40ib with a strong Fluoro leader my man 👍🏻👍🏻 tight lines!!!
Pretty sure the first and last were sea troot
Great day out you're very lucky 😊
Thanks pal I think soo too :D
red spots=brownie, no red spots= seatrout. Simple as that.
What lures did you use?
Devonshire Minnow my friend :D go to Salmon lure! And a salmo minnow for the trout!
What set up are you using?
A rigged and ready predator rod down to 30ib braid and a 20ib fluro leader 👌
@@japanesefishingadventures would it go well with a 4000 series reel?
What rod were you on here fella...
The Predator! My go to rod I have to admit 🤙🏻
Lovely fish. That’s not a sea trout though mate. I’m pretty sure That’s a brownie. It’s very light in colour though so very similar to a sea trout:

@@japanesefishingadventures 👍🏻👍🏻 tight lines.
It’s a Sea trout a bit more silvery than a brown trout.
Thanks pal!
Newbie is a fantastic beat to fish.
You’re telling me pal! It’s a belter!
It’s my big pals mrs that runs it & they both do a great job. 👍🏻👍🏻
