    Great info - Thanks!
I'll bet that 99 out of 100 viewers don't understand or appreciate the level of craftsmanship that the design and build took.

I love it. I'm a new Catrike owner and would love to have one of these. Great idea and great job!

Arnold, thanks for you comments. As far as blueprints and materials I have to say I don’t have them. I winged the entire build and at the end of the video I added a few views with a ruler to give you an idea as to measurements. Not the best solution but it was all I was able to do while filming. Most of the stand is standard Douglas fir, the white frame holders are cut from irrigation pipe. I had enough thin plywood on hand also. Any design that will hold your trike should work well.

It looked like 2x4's for the posts and center?

Thanks for the video, I too just bought a Catrike Expedition. I plan a coast to coast trike for next spring, 2019. Need a portable work stand.

Very ambitious of you to travel coast to coast. What an adventure. I hope you set up a blog or TH-cam channel to communicate your travels. A portable trike stand? Interesting. Will this be transported on the trike, or in a support vehicle?

I find that I use the stand every third or fourth ride to clean the chain and check adjustments, tire pressure etc. Very convenient!

I learned that I can turn the Catrike up side down over a large plastic storage bin and get it to balance quite nicely. But it's still upside down and torquing on things might move the whole apparatus.
I'm coming to learn after about 1000 miles of use what needs regular attention. I think the chain gets dirtier than a 2 wheeler because it's closer to the ground and picks up about twice the amount of front wheel throw-off particles bouncing under the seat.
I rode my Catrike Expedition in the rain. I shaped DIY fenders over store bought fender frames. I decided not to try to keep it looking pristine since I sometimes use it on a daily basis to get to the places I need to go. I inserted a lightweight closed cell foam pad cutoff from an old backpacking sleeping pad between the mesh and buckles beneath the bottom seat to alleviate splash from the front tires. This splash pattern still needs some work. I think I need the fender to wrap around the lower wheel on the operators side of the wheels. I'm thinking something non rigid like broom straw or inner tube material might work.
The Trike has dings and scratches from being portaged in the truck and taken off road and on gravel. (Balloon tires). I got a Sycamore stick wound up in the derailleur and bent it into a 4 speed with lots of slip and hop in other combos. I need a stand to get at this because groping around at floor level isn't going to give me the access I need.
Thanks for the tips. Your stand looks elegant.

Thomas, you are getting a lot of heavy duty use from your Catrike. Hats off to you. I am adding front fenders this Christmas to my wife's Expedition. I might make an install video and product review.

Stan Richards I think I need longer bolts after adding Catrike brand fenders. Yhe headsets need retightening every 50 miles or so. Not too long or the star nuts might get dislodged. My local shop guy suggessted I look to the hardware store.

Right on all points Moosy1789. I would be totally exhausted physically and financially if I spent as much time with each hobby as they deserve. I do vary my involvement between each one but often feel I am neglecting them. I would be embarrassed to admit how many other hobbies I am involved with besides those you have mentioned. I have a lot of toys and an ecliptic range of interest. The Trike was a rather expensive solution to a desire to ride the local bike trails again. The family quit riding bikes after a few physically damaging accidents so after a number of years without bike transportation the bug was too great to ignore. The trikes will be stored more often then ridden but available when needed for those perfect spring and autumn mornings when the temperature is just right.

Excellent! I'm going to make one for my new Trident Trike. Can you show us how you get your trike on the stand? Do you have help?

very nice job. you should stain that with Walnut or cherry or maple it would look really cool put some shiny varnish on it. would really pop underneath the trike.

I didn't give much thought to having a finish applied to the stand. A bit of sanding and staining might just make it more interesting. And it will hold up better in the long run.

I have just recently bought a Catrike and was wondering if you would share your blueprints or material list for your stand. I would like to try to learn more about it and so i would really appreciate a sturdy stand to work on it. Thenks and hope to hear from you soon.

Could you tell me what saddle bag you have on your expedition? I have a 5.5.9. and am having a hard time finding bags that will work. Thanks!
Also, thanks for the video, hopefully I can build something like this to make it a little easier to work on my trike.

      Hi Joel,
The bag shown in this video were purchased from Amazon. New Cycling Bicycle Bike Bag Top Tube Triangle Bag Front Saddle Frame Pouch Outdoor Very inexpensive, about $10.
Not shown in this video, but I am now also using TopSun Roswheel Rear Seat Trunk Bag Handbag Bag Pannier for Bicycle Black mounted on an Ibera Bike Rack - Bicycle Touring Carrier with Fender Board, Frame-Mounted for Heavier Top & Side Loads, Height Adjustable for 26"-29" Frames. I purchased these on Amazon too.
