Lon, Thanks for this subject coverage. I did not know these devices existed. A few months ago my wife asked me about the Radon in our home and now I know there is a way to track it overtime. Thanks again for your research into Radon!

I love this coverage as well!! So glad I’m seeing this video and seriously considering one of these units now. I’ve seen other videos about Radon but really glad to actually hear from someone with actual experience instead of just a product review. Thanks!!!

This device brought up a question. Since all of these devices are reporting the sensor readings back to Airthings, would Airthings aggregiate the information from all of these devices and offer the data to the public so Radon maps can be generated? I think it would be interesting if I could pull up a webpage with a Radon map of my neighborhood/street and see were there might be hotspots?

Yes as a matter of fact they are building a global map but it’s not down to street level - just broader grid squares. Radonmap.com

AYYYY.... You were talking about that in one of the previous livestreams (I believe it was the uh.... external SSD)

It's great to compare this with a one tome professional radon test, but the rrst of the review is pointless. We really need to know whether these tests work. Answer that requires testing the test. I saw one reviewer get inconsistent and biased results on tvoc.

It is scary to think how many poor people sat in toxic air that killed them throughout history that had no idea.

Totally.. And even today I was surprised by how many viewers hadn't heard of Radon before. In my area because we have high levels it's been talked about quite a bit but apparently not so much in other parts of the country.

Hi Lon, I sent you two emails about reviewing our open-source hardware air quality monitor AirGradient ONE that is very popular among the Home Assistant crowd. I did not hear back and I'm not sure if my messages went through. Please let me know if you would be interested. Many thanks!

Aside from Analytics, I don't see a reason for a radon detector to need to show up on the company's radar.

Apple's ATT will block apps from accessing your IDFA, that's something that you can also do on an Android in setting, privacy, ads, and then choosing to opt out from targeted ads.
Since only blocking the IDFA it's not ideal, Google is working in something called Privacy Sandbox to further protect us from being digitally fingerprinted.
