Dang, the show has grown so much since “A Lying Witch and A Warden.”
Tbh I was just thinking about this, that message never really made it past the first couple episodes and it’s never really bought up again. And the warden doesn’t make too much sense too like he appeared in one episode then left, like was he just imprisoning people he didn’t like and belos didn’t care?

"Seek the key" means to find the key to the portal and " Fear the lock" is for Luz as she have promise her mom that when she returns, she have to stay in the human realm.
It could also be referring to how King wants to find out what he is, and his nature as a Titan ends up being how The Collector is released. The search for the Titan’s Blood in Eclipse Lake could also be “seeking the key”. So the key would be King’s Heritage/Titan’s Blood, and the lock is The Collector’s imprisonment disc. And as we’ve seen there is good reason to fear what the lock is containing.

(this takes place after kings tide)
“Hi mom. I’m back,” says Luz, in tears. Just then, the ground cracks. A -worm- -owl- -tube- thing erupts from the earth.
“PEEK-A HOOT!” shouts Hooty.
“Hooty?!” Amity screams.
“How did you even get here?” Luz adds.
“Luz, what is that thing?” Camila asks.
Hooty sighs and explains, “Listen, I know you’re all probably very confused. Well, I- OH MY GOSH A HUMAN BUG!” Hooty -runs- -flies- -seriously what does he do- after the bug, dragging his porta Hooty house with him.
Hooty chases the bug into the forest until finally, he catches it.
“wow, human bugs sure are fast. And tasty. yup. Hoot,” he says, before lying down for a rest. As he lays on the grass he notices a bright green bird flying in the trees. “BUG?” He exclaims about to chase it, then stops in his tracks when he realizes it’s another owl. The most beautiful owl he has ever laid eyes on. It’s bright green feathers, it’s soulless smile, its beautiful call. “Spanish or Vanish,” It sings. Hooty knew he had to meet this magnificent creature. He screamed into the sky. “HIYA GREEN BIRD” until it noticed. It elegantly flew down to the ground to meet Hooty.
“Spain or pain,” it told him.
“French or Wrench,” Hooty replied. The owls eyes lit up as he realized that Hooty was the only bird that could feel what it felt. The duolingo owl and Hooty sat in the forest all day long, learning languages and eating bugs.

I know why it's "Seek the key fear the lock" so, basically season 2 was almost all about the day of unity and what it was. Luz and her friends (not including the c.a.t.s. because they technically knew already) wanted to know what it was about which was seeking the key. When the day of unity is finally happening the c.a.t.s. start their plan with Eda, but belos knows what's happening,nso their plan fails and the rest of the coven heads realize they aren't getting paradise they are getting death. So basically Seek the key is finding what the day of unity stands for and fear the lock is what it actually is. Some flaws but I feel like my brain did good. And sense you read it all have a cookie 🍪, ANNDDD YOU who didn't read and skipped to the end of the comment you better read to deserve that cookie or you get BROCCOLI 🥦 Behave children buh bye

3:59 I think "SEEK THE KEY FEAR THE LOCK" means, something like make sure you have the key to that door (the door being the portal door) but fear what's behind it/what will come out of it.
By the way that's just my interpretation of it.
King is the Key, and the lock I believe is Enzo Gabriel. Or vice versa….. just my preference.

I think I figured out what "seek the key fear the lock." Means "seek the key" meaning in episode 10 she finds a key back home kinda. And "fear the lock" meaning fear belos/Philip since he is the way back to the human realm
