That's pretty funny that I used to struggle during the first cases with not finding my data back when I needed it later. After further reflexion on my note-taking I came to almost the same structure you use with 3 sheets and it now works fine for me!

This is so fun and helpful. I often mess up my notetakings since there is a bunch of knowledge to memorize! Really love the case example after solving dozens of business-but-boring cases. I will apply this method and update my outcome!

Thank you for posting this. For the scratch section, is that something you would expect to hand in as well in a real interview? Should you keep that section as organized/structured and clean as possible?

    • @MConsultingPrep

No the scratch note you don't have to show to any one. That one is really the "scratch" note. You can write anything you want there! ^^

Thanks man! Great content! I am going to an ivy league administration college here in Brazil and I am going to graduate at 25 years old (as now, I am 20). In my last college year I may apply for an internship program at the big 3 with 24 years of age. Do you think my age could be a problem? Because I saw some people saying that I got to be 22/23 to get accepted.
It is really my dream to become a consultant at the big 3 and I am gonna really tryhard.

Hi João, this is a very interesting problem. From my understanding of the case you would be 25 when you graduate, and would like to enroll at one of the big three consulting firms. However, you are worried that they only recruit people who are around 22 or 23. You would like to know if your worry is justified.
First I'd like to hypothesize that your concern is unjustified, and that the firms do indeed recruit 25 year olds. To test my hypothesis, I'd like to look at the historical data for age for candidates who got in (say for the past two years) at these three firms, as well as data for how many of your peers (who will also graduate at 25) plan on applying for these firms. Do we have any data on this?
      Lol, sorry for annoying you...
