Hey dude, I would so love to do that but the Randall hasn’t worked in a while I’m afraid. There is an issue with the power section that needs fixing. It’s a shame as it is a good sounding amp when working but seems to have been made of glass inside. Drop me an email anyhow and if I get it working I would be happy to do some profiles. Great tones, Jay! Question: if I do not have a load box, is there another way to connect directly to an amp, such as through the amp effects loop? My Engl Fireball 25 has a line out, so I think that connection will work for that amp, but most of my other amps don’t have a line out.
Thanks man! I appreciate it! I have checked the manual but please do double check this with Ebgl directly before trying this ok? The Fireball 25 (the E366 amp) seems that you have a power reduction/attenuator on the back of the amp? Is that correct? If you do have the amp I am looking at the manual for then the line out seems to be a tap from the power amp section and is designed to be fed into a cab loader or another power amp, so that could be used into something like the Ampero as it is a 0db signal. But like I said, please do double check by sending an email to Engl tech support to make sure that is what it does - I am pretty sure it will be ok but as its your amp and possibly your Ampero, double checking is always a wise choice as I wouldn't want you to cause damage to either piece of gear 😊 🙏 Hope that helps and please do let me know what Engl says. Hey dude, that’s a great point you make! I know that Hotone recently updated the firmware on the Stomp to include the Tone Catch so these should work on the Stomp now. I haven’t tested them on my Stomp yet though 🙏🏼 Have an awesome day!
Yes that’s correct. The form factor is smaller, and of course, there is an expression pedal on the Ampero II whereas the Stage doesn’t have that built in. Have an awesome day!

I know this is a sponsored video, but how does it stack up against something like the Headrush Flex Prime, which from the advertising looks very similar? I can guess all I want, but there's no replacement for the human experience and the Ampero simply isn't available locally. And Afghan, seriously, thanks for putting the videos together as i know how much work these are.

@@jayguitar Well, I can now say a little about the Headrush unit as I tried one out and previously had the MX-5. The Flex Prime is a definite step up in most respects to the MX-5, and they both are the same chassis. It has better amp simulation, better sound quality, but the reverbs are pretty much directly from the Eleven rack, which isn't a real compliment. The interface is really good and the web browser based editor is really good. But I don't think the amps sound that realistic finding the 5150 kind of fuzzy and congested in the midrange, and wouldn't clean up with the guitar volume knob or reducing gain in the model. It's a shame because it has so many cool features at a fantastic price. But now I've got the Ampero II on the way. I'm really hoping I can coax half the goodness of of it that you did🤟.
@ I really appreciate you sharing your experience with the Headrush. I’ve loved the Ampero tones. I created preset packs for the Stage and also the Tone Catches now as I was so happy with the tones. It feels great to play too. Hotone have done a great job with it. I’ve tried some of the other units and they have sounded good, but for me the tones on the Hotone seem to sound more organic. Enjoy your Ampero when you have it and I’d love to hear about what you think of it when you do have it.
Hello jay. I just wanna know if u use ampero switch or any dual footswitch, can it be use as a bank up bank down on ampero? So u will not use the 1+2 and 2+3 switch on the ampero 2 itself. Pls response. Thankyou!
