at 1:10 they show a hilarious animation. There is NO possible way to gaurantee that the shaped grain is oriented in a bonded wheel to maximize the area being used to cut into the gear. NO possible way. grains are randomly pressed into a mold to get a grinding wheel shape. No possible way to have this animation be even 50% of the time NO possible way.

Hello @menotyou7762, the animation comes from 3M and aims to illustrate the theoretical principle of chip formation when a PSG grain is optimally positioned. It is well known that not every grain adopts this optimum cutting position, as can be seen from the reasons given. Nevertheless, all studies and the widespread applications in practice show that Cubitron II enables the formation of longer chips and that the highest cutting performance can be achieved, especially with large-module gears.
