    I used to live in Ciudad Valles, San Luis Potosí (The gateway of the Huasteca) as a kid and I always went to the rivers and waterfalls for weekends or holidays. I miss it a lot and gives me a lot of nostalgia. Can’t wait to go back and visit my family and go there again one day.

    OH MAN!! We're actually going there tomorrow! We called today and were informed that we can come without a tour, just by ourselves, for 800 pesos both of us haha :) It looks divinely beautiful! I see you filmed with the waterproof bag then? ;-) So you had no problem with that? No problem with your g7x? The woman on the phone told me the bag that they sell is made for cellphones, is that the one you used and as you told me it fit just right? GREAT video Jon! :) Adriana is so lucky to have grown up in that area... The nature is breathtaking.

      Yeah, it SHOULD fit in with no housing on it.. If you force it.. It's not to crazy unless the other boats come by and start splashing you.. so be aware of that.. but otherwise, your camera will LOVE it hahaha. Feliz Ano Nuevo !!

Also, showing others the beautiful nature that has been hidden from those whom look for such exciting experiences.

    Mi hermosa y sagrada huasteca. Nosotros los huastecos no nos identificamos con el estado de San Luis, nosotros somos solo huastecos pues la zona culturalmente hablando no tiene ninguna conexion con el resto del estado. Las Huastecas estamos divididas por los estados pero compartimos una cultura en comun. La huasteca (potosina) es de las mas hermosas de todas las Huastecas. Mi familia no es de aqui si no de rio verde pero nací y crecí aqui y esta es mi nación a pesar de que no soy tenek amo todas las huastecas.

    Great job, even we mexicans can get some useful information from your vlogs. I really didn't know the Huasteca Potosina was that beautiful. Thanks for showcasing the better parts of this country, it's is so damn frustrating when we go visit other countries and the first thing someone asks once they realize you're mexican is about el Chapo or some other narco.

    John great video. The place and falls looked amazing. I apologize but I have to rub it in a little, I just saw another video on the same locations with some aerial shots, how is the drone. When will we see the destruction video (again I apologize but the aerial views were pretty amazing, maybe it is a reason to go back when you have your drone up again, if they will let you use a drone there).

    • @HereBeBarr
      @HereBeBarr  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      😂😂😂 drones done .. I'm getting a replacement on January 8 in Puerto Vallarta !! I keep procrastinating the crash video bc I've been editing other stuff . I was hoping to make a resurrection video but to many defects on it . I'll bring it back to nyc and maybe sell repair it in march

    Loved this video. How beatiful all the water falls. The food looked fantastic. My husband and I went to Mexico. Cancunmexico for our honeymoon and we went to this place that had a big crater in the ground and they said their was no end. Do you know this place.? Or what it is called. I forget it's been so long. Well wishing you a happy new year. Best wishes from Bethlehem pa

      @HereBeBarr  6 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @thefebi8457
      @thefebi8457 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      About those "craters" actually are called: cenotes and there are many in the whole Yucatan peninsula, probably you just saw one of them, near Cancun specifically between Playa del Carmen and Tulum in that part of the route you can visit thousands of them in a very small area, are incredible!

    • @levillechamp
      @levillechamp 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No es cráter sino un abismo llamado Sótano de las Golondrinas en ese mismo municipio. Es una caverna vertical con entrada de 60 m. de diámetro, 500 m. de profundidad y un fondo mucho más amplio que la entrada Es un refugio para las aves que ahí están a salvo de los depredadores. Es muy visitado y hay quienes van para efectuar el descenso. Pero tal vez esto no sea bueno para la ecología del Sótano pues los ornitólogos han observado una disminución de las aves debido quizá al aumento de visitantes. Es reserva de la biósfera y ojalá se establezcan protocolos para regular las visitas al lugar mientras se determina si la actividad turística es dañina o no para ese hábitat.

    Whereabouts is Adriana from? We lived in Ciudad Mante for a few years, and Adriana reminds me of a friend I have from Cd. Victoria. My friend learned and speaks English very well and married a "gringo".
    We've been to the Huasteca, stayed at the Coy. But our car broke down, I think in Tamasopo; we didn't see much. But it was beautiful. I went to Xilitla many years before, too.

    We have a lot of beautiful things in Mexico, especially our people and culture, all we need is a good goverment, by the people and for the people, the very few that govern my homeland, are corrupted politicians who don't deserve to be Mexicas. The working class, are poor because they are exploited by the chain of corruption, however the hard working Mexicans are the ones that make Mexico great all along it's well rooted culture of my people!!!

    They should ban taking video or pictures so that this place remains hidden and unadvertised to keep the swarms of people away.
