    Essentially this is how wireless charging on phones work. Still a fun kids project.

      To make secondary coil you can use that 👍

      @mahade_DIY for inductor?

    • @mahade_DIY
      @mahade_DIY  2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@anyonecanmakeit718 Yes . Inside the wallclock machine the copper wire is maybe 0.1 mm thick. So as I have shown in the video you can use it to make the LED coil (secondary)

    Can you tell the logic behind this and why we have to turn 8 times in primary coil, why we have to take 8 to 10 cm of circle , why we have to take b/w 400 to 600 micro henry inductor etc.

    • @mahade_DIY
      @mahade_DIY  7 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      Here's a breakdown of the logic behind the specifications:
      # Primary Coil
      1. *8 turns*: This number of turns helps achieve a suitable inductance value (L) for resonant coupling. Fewer turns reduce inductance, while more turns increase it, potentially causing inefficiency.
      2. *8-10 cm diameter*: This size allows for:
      - Adequate coil surface area for electromagnetic coupling.
      - Sufficient space for the secondary coil (LED) to resonate.
      - Compactness for a manageable project size.
      1. *1mm/18AWG wire*: Thickness ensures:
      - Low resistance (R) for minimal energy loss.
      - Sufficient current-carrying capacity.
      # Secondary Coil (Inductor)
      1. *400-600 μH*: This range provides:
      - Resonant frequency compatibility with the primary coil.
      - Adequate inductive reactance (X_L) for efficient energy transfer.
      - Suitable for 12V DC input.
      # Resonant Coupling
      1. *Frequency resonance*: The primary and secondary coils resonate at the same frequency, enabling efficient energy transfer.
      2. *Electromagnetic induction*: The primary coil's magnetic field induces voltage in the secondary coil.

    I shall give this a try.
    I never realized this could be done with so few components!
    How many turns for your hand made secondary coil?

    • @mahade_DIY

      Yes make some more colors .It will look great.
      200-300 turns will be good enough for work

      @@mahade_DIY is it the same problem with wireless phone chargers, where they have high resistance and therefore need many coils to get sufficient current to light up the LED? looks very cool though, would be even more cool if they were levitated magnetically, and it would look like some colourful fireflies in the dark!

    • @mahade_DIY
      @mahade_DIY  วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes I tested with fewer turns first,didn’t work.
      Then I added more turns to get the enough current to glow the LED .
      Yaaa..making look like a firefly is a great idea 💡

      @mahade_DIY thanks for replying but can you explain why?

    • @mahade_DIY
      @mahade_DIY  6 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      To understand the principle of wireless power transmission you have to know about electromagnetic induction.
      When current passes through an insulated copper coil
      1. Magnetic field generates: A magnetic field forms around the coil
      2. Magnetic flux increases with current
      3. The coil becomes an electromagnet
      Because of this electromagnetic flux energy transmitted wirelessly from the primary coil (the secondary coil (receiver)
      If you use uninsulated wire instead of insulated wire - in the coil all turn will be touched together and current will passes through the shorted path and there will be no more flux will generate. The whole coil will work just a piece of wire not a coil anymore
