What I think will happen: E-Con Bagooska to attack position and hit it with Zeus for game
What happened: E-Con tribute Zeus, steal Bagooska, put it in attack, Timebreaker banish Crooked Cook, summon Beargrimm, blow up the field, summon Giant Rat, Giant Rat attack for game
That what happens when you have protagonist brain.

The cook survived because the shark give cook an effect, it does not need to remain attached to make it indestructible

So, I think what happened with crooked cook is that Left-hand shark doesn't need to STAY as material for its effect. Its just "If something is xyz summoned using only water monsters, and this is one of those, then it gains the effect of [This card cannot be destroyed by card effect.]" So, i believe the monster permanently has the gained effect regardless of whether left-hand shark is still a piece of the material. Cause it doesnt care that it is xyz material, just that it was part of the initial summon.

Yup. I fought this strategy with my masochist deck a bit ago. It's really annoying to play against if you don't have something like a Kaiju to get rid of it.
That said...shouldn't the time breaker banishing it have made it forget those materials?
@@Lightmaster677 It should, but I don't think he even attacked to see if that happened. Crooked Cook, once it leaves the board, loses the battle invincibility if it is resummoned with without right-hand shark.
I’m glad we’re on season two but seriously Cimooo. I to be a dualist or not to be a dualist question. What gives a deck meaning? Went into the philosophy of what makes a deck work.

10:41 Fog Blade would work here.
Cards that tribute for cost only get around exactly Skill Drain. It has an additional “while that monster is face up on the field” clause. No other effect negating card does that.
But fog blade is a continuous trap so if the monster leaves the field then fogblade is destroyed and doesnt apply its negating effect. I don't think it's similar to impermenance which just negates the monster's effect on the field for the whole turn, so even if the monster tributes itself for cost its effect on the field was still negated for the whole turn.

Playing masochist myself(never really played yugioh before), oh boy is blue-eyes annoying as hell. They do 10 misplays and still win because of big bungus white dragon. Managed to get to plat 4 so far, it's been a drag to say the least, but I also learn a lot because of it(Mostly that blue-eyes players tend to not read).
ALSO to all my fellow masochists, here's a BIGBRAIN tip:
Pretend to play some deck people hate! (if you got the cards ofc)
I got Labrynth Labyrinth and Ariane and I've gotten some wins by just playing those and setting some backrow :D

Taje a look on how tge sckring for the duel is done and try to increase the final scoring during the duel if you see you are going to win.

That first nearly 60 card Photon Galaxy deck makes me think there's some other type of masochist challenge to use cards in structure decks but only as 1 of's, cuz I've seen that too many times.
Damn! A fresh new coat of paint, especially the intro that is very nice! But I will say the new editing style during the duels, notably the beginning plays, gets me off - it disrupts the natural flow of the match and adheres to people with the attention span worse than a goldfish.
Cimo throwing that win streak, could have Gameciel the Striker link and waited to see if they conceded

I defeated an Exodia player earlier afternoon with my Masochist deck and I was so satisfied with that one helluva Duel!!

Random question - if i have a face up Tiki Soul on the field along with other face up trap monsters, if my opponent activates heavy storm or black rose dragon, will Tiki Soul allow my other face trap monsters to be set as per its effect? Or will this effect not apply as Tiki Soul will also be destroyed by heavy storm or black rose dragon???

Just wanna say. The Eldlich Loaner deck is basically cheating. It gives the player 2 extrav when its limited to 1. Kinda a f you to opponents. And that deck that Alex played against is a loaner deck. So Konami is allowing people to cheat
Funny how he did that whole convoluted play to win the Exodia game when he could've just used E-Con to turn Bagooska into attack and then turn Zeus to attack and attack Bagooska.
The first effect of e-con is always forgotten since it never matters much, except in very niche scenarios like this. Reminds me of a VS player who kept using jiaolong's battle position effect to keep turing bagooska into def.

@karimhegazy3866 I've been playing Crystal Beast ever since Jesse got added to Duel Links, and last year I think I realized that you can attack with Bagooska and use Emerald Tortoise to turn it back to DEF position. If you asked me what Emerald Tortoise effect was before that, I wouldve been stumped because I've only ever used it to summon Rainbow Dragon

42:05 the hand sharks permanently give the Xyz their effects, so cook was always unable to be destroyed by card effects

Cydra Nova is the rank 5 right? Of course you would just be able to play Nova for Infinity access like every other deck, but Galaxy is already playing multiple cards just for rank up purposes anyways, I feel like the extra would be SUPER tight. @@crowcoregames1785

With 2 Uradora of Fate, a dragon/dino/sea serpent/wyrm type deck vecomes a solid option.
Crooked cook has a point of weakness most don't realize if ur able to take advantage of it. Once they play another card then if u have a workable chain? Their immunity isn't active during this. Since technically controlling another card.
Problem is, Crooked Cook can clear everything else from your field as a Quick Effect and gain ATK + total immunity anyway. You'd have to negate that in response.
Just run over the cook with chaos max/u.a. dreadnaught dunker w/power jersey.
I love that you picked the most convoluted way to win that last game lol.
You could have just E-Con'd the Bagooska to atk mode and swung with Zeus.
