OK. Interesting juxtaposition. I can see why they might be blended together tonally, but except that for me, these two songs have jarringly different associations from different times of my life. I wouldn't want to experience them together. :/

Lots of things work in a crowd on acid, that may not quite work otherwise. The design goal of his work is quite focused... people on a psychedelic, in a crowd... that's not to say the whole crowd were munted, they most certainly weren't, but that is the design goal... Might you experience the work differently if you were on a moderate dose of MDMA with friends?
Not having a pop at you as it's a reasonable thing you're saying, just providing a different angle to consider it from... It's a little like Yellow Submarine... there are two very different ways to watch that movie :)
